If I ever see/hear that damn American Family Insurance commercial with Jennifer Hudson again, it will be too soon.

The one for the Chicago Rehabilitation Institute that starts "Hey. Stroke." before challenging other neurological injuries to a fight just sounds like someone is calling me a stroke.

Subway apparently thinks it's cute to appropriate well-known jingles for their ads. First it was the theme to Curb Your Enthusiasm, now it's The Price Is Right. Just stop.

I've been meaning to ask what is the correlation between those themes and Subway? Is there some promotion going on or are they just playing them for no apparent reason?

The commercial is trash and Sweet Caroline is WAY overplayed. That doesn't stop it and Neil Diamond from being goddamn American treasures though.

It's Dove. I complained on the previous page about it. I don't think he could sound any less masculine.

I've actually started to pay attention to these commercials after seeing your posts. I thought it was only one guy talking but turns out it's three different guys who sound similar mumbling their way through the copy.

Bad commercial.

This whole thing pisses me off.

The radio spots were bad enough. You've got this "street musician" Alex Guthrie hoping to have "his" music heard by millions. Ok, whatever.

Then the TV commercial comes out and there's Jennifer Hudson joining Guthrie by surprise, basically overshadowing him. I was like WTF, how did she pick up the lyrics and melody so fast, and why is AmFam taking this guy's dream and giving it to her? (Before I realized who the woman was.)

Now I find out that the song Lovely Day wasn't even written by Guthrie, but was a cover of a song written and performed by Bill Withers.

So all this time, this fucker Guthrie and these fuckers at AmFam were giving us a bullshit dream, and then adding Hudson to give it some more cred. Fuck AmFam and fuck Guthrie.

Indeed, it would be funny if it turned out that adding Hudson was damage control.

I always get the sense that the guy has no idea who Hudson is as she comes up.

I know it's a commercial but it still strikes me that way every time - like, "Who is this person? I'm singin' here!"

That commercial by State Farm or someone where they sing an especially shitty version of "Safe and Sound." It shows people in a high school desk learning about a better financial future or something while they play the awful cover song.

Everyone involved in these "Won't Someone Think of the Children?!?!" commercials about the Soda Tax can go straight to hell. The politicians don't care about the health of children or anyone else, they just want another source of money to replenish the money they squandered over the last several decades.

If a 5 year old is too obese to walk, I doubt soda is the issue.

How can anyone
A) drink that much soda in 5 years
B) give that much soda to a child?

Goff, in his latest "extended Labor Day sale" spot for MattressFirm, stated that MattressFirm would beat any competitor's price by 10% or it's free. Yeah, given the choice of selling you the mattress for 10% less than the competitor, or taking a total loss by giving it to you for free, I'm sure they would choose the latter. :?

Um, their parents?

For how long does Jurko have to do commercials for It's Just Lunch in which he talks about being a client before we ask "If the service is so good, why are you not a former client by now?"

I'd beginning to hate the Tito's vodka guy. Some dude with the same hat he's been wearing for years with his dog standing around the booze makes me assume the vodka smells like dirty hair and has dog hairs in it. His voice is dumb too, his esses are too long and he says "Austin Texas" like a moron.
