Yeah if it’s the most wonderful time, you would not need Claritin.

No mention whatsoever what Claritin is actually meant to treat.

"uh, guys? excuse me? i didn't quite catch that. i'm hard of hearing?"

it's called a hearing aid. stop talking to your TV and leave the captioning on. it's not difficult.

amazon commercials actively try to outdo themselves in being obnoxious and cloying.

Amazon’s Medusa commercial - where she shows how chill she is by casually murdering a guy for smiling at her friend - is one of the worst.

All of Pritzker's political ads.

And the lady crying about her miracle child on Youtube. You don't have to make your child everyone's business.

there's a really insidious "focus on the family" ad that reminds me of "diary of an unborn child" by mark fox. the eerie baby voice saying "though hidden, i am here" makes my skin crawl. i can see some mommy juice swilling runt breeder bawling over it.

this kind of cloying advertising barely works in the medium of making us donate to starving children, cancer children, and/or broken children. but unborn children...comes off as icky.

it'd be the same if planned parenthood tried to shove some green-haired, bullring-wearing chick with sleeve tats in our face telling us how important it is to shout your abortion.

I heard a commercial on the Score for a jewelry store advertising that it has convenient financing for push presents.

The concept is reprehensible for many reasons when you think about it

Is it the Diamond Mart guys? They've been running reprehensible copy on the Score for years.

I think it was Billy and Lauren with The Diamondaire. Because remember gentleman, size does matter!

The Chevrolet EV commercial with the really shitty Fleetwood Mac song being in heavy rotation is getting me to that point.

Those commercials are bad enough up until the point they get to the sexual innuendo, and then just embarrassing once they do.

It wouldn't be that bad if they just played the song, but the people singing along and dancing in their seats...

I always assumed the Diamondaire people were the owners’ children for some reason. I suppose that makes the penis themed tagline worse.

how low do you have to be to advertise something that is a luxury to a person who doesn't have the money today and is about to enter the most expensive years of his life?

Why doesn't the wife give the man a gift for the "pushing" he did in the creation?

I'm not even addressing the ridiculousness of the underlying concept. I've discussed it before. People get hoodwinked into marketing creations. The baby is the gift.
