Firefly. Packed so much awesome into so few episodes. If only it had a chance...

My favorite moment was when someone was holding some crewmember hostage and mal walked in with zoe... the hostage-taker starts spouting some shit and WITHOUT EVEN BREAKING HIS STRIDE mal pulls out his sidearm and shoots the hostage taker right in between the eyes, not even paying a bit of attention to him.

that was perhaps the most badass bit of television i'd ever seen.

btw, the angel comics are kind of goofy... i mean, they DID go and do things there wouldn't be a proper budget to do with a TV show, but i think it was just kind of enh.... not quite as bad as buffy season 8 tho.

Nah the best was when Mal was trying to send a message to Mr Big Bad and the stooge was like go to hel so Mal tossed him into the engine and the next guy was all in line for doing like Mal asked.

Up until Buddy & Mel died, Dick Van Dyke was prime for an update show. The premise was built into the show already...The Allen Brady Show reunites.

Bewitched. Scratch that. I don't think anyone from the cast --outside of Tabitha and Adam -- remains alive.

Factually speaking, both Dicks from "Bewitched", York & Sargent, along with Elizabeth Montgomery are no longer with us, Brian.

I would like to see season 2 of The Event. It appears I was the only fan of the show. The show got a lot better the 2nd half of season 1.

I know the modern update of "Hawaii Five-O" was a huge hit this past season on CBS Monday nights. It remains to be seen if ABC will have similar results with "Charlie's Angels" this fall. That's the one with Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh(sp?) playing the roles made famous in the mid to late '70s by Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd, Jaclyn Smith, Tanya Roberts & the late Farrah Fawcett all playing the original "Angels".

That being said, NBC tried to reboot 2 other classic series, "Bionic Woman" & "Knight Rider", and the results were terrible to say the least. There was also talk about NBC also rebooting another classic cop series from the '70s.

David Shore, the man who created the FOX medical drama "House", was commissioned to develop a modern remake of "The Rockford Files" for NBC. If memory serves, Delmot Mulroney was supposed to play the role that James Garner made famous from 1974-80, ex-con turned private investigator "Jim Rockford". Unfortunately, it never quite got off the ground.

Neither did anyone else.

But that's the thing with recent sci-fi series. Flashforward and V were victims of the same thing.

I have always wanted to know what Donkey Lips was up to.

One a side note I once saw Joey Votto wearing a camp anawana t shirt when he was in the minors.

Just a heads up, there's a Firefly marathon on all day on the SCI channel (212 on comcast).

Other than a 1 hour block, it runs until midnight. I watch the entire series once or twice a year and its still not even remotely old yet.

Quantum Leap

np,

I loved Deadwood too, I didn't watch it until 2-3 years ago and watched the entire series in a week or two. Then Justified began so Olyphant going from Seth straight into Raylon the next day was kinda cool.

Second semester junior year I scheduled a few classes around the Quantum Leap block on USA in the afternoon. I think it was followed by an hour of Wings.

i liked deadwood but the end was very anti-climactic...although that wasn't necessarily david milch's fault.

i was also a fan of "sliders" in its first few seasons before arturo was killed off. that was a fun little show. great friday night lineup back then with "x-files" and "sliders" back to back.

David Boreanaz apparently agrees with you on Angel and he kind of is important. But he's tied up through another season of Bones.

I also like Magnum PI and Tom Selleck can still bring it. Love Blue Bloods.
