I hear so many people say Will Ferrell is the funniest man on the planet these days. While I think he is funny, I don't buy it for a bit. Who you got ahead of him in comedic movies/tv these days?

Steve Carrell is one that I think is much funnier even though I though 40 year old virgin is overrated. The Office is great.

Vince Vaughn

Robert DeNiro is pretty funny after seeing him for many years as a tough guy (does he count as today?)

Ben Stiller is just God Awful.

For example: http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net ... very_movie

And Sandler is horrible too, just so you know before he gets mentioned.

If I had to pick one I'd say Vince Vaughn; his dry humor and sarcastic tongue are best right now...but he's still hit or miss with me.

Stephen Colbert, Howard Stern, Patton Oswalt, Dog Bites Man, Jon Stewart (though the Daily Show has gone way downhill since 9-11), Sean Hannity, Bill Maher (I think the guy is funny as hell), Jimmy Kimmel

Will Ferell aint shit without Cheri O'Teri. 'Old Skool' was not funny.

I thought Ryan was talking comic actors here? I'd nominate Jack Black. His work in School of Rock rivals any of Ferell's roles. Eddie Murphy and Bill Murray are much more accomplished than Ferell, though it's been awhile since either had good comedic roles in decent movies.

OK, I swear to God I read the two words Sean Hannity. Can someone please tell me when he has ever been funny? I remember him being nothing more than a narrow minded jackass prick just like every other extremist whether it be liberal or conservative. The guys has NEVER been funny. He's just a complete asshole from what I remember who's only in it for himself and the party he sucks off on a regular basis. People like him are bad for this country. God, I fucking can't stand people like him at all.

I'm not quite sure how Sean Hannity made it onto this list. However, I do enjoy his radio and television shows very much. I also happen to be more conservative than Sean. Therefore, I often disagree with his blind allegiance to President Bush, who is far too liberal for my liking.

Woodridge Ryan, I realize this is not a political forum, but I'm curious as to why you think Sean Hannity is "bad for this country." Certainly, you are entitled to disagree with him, but what danger does he pose?

Of course he is in it for himself. That happens to be the beauty of our capitalistic system. He does a nice job, gets fine ratings, and is compensated accordingly.

By the way, Will Ferrell is awful.

1. This thread is about comedic actors

2. You guys complain about Salsbury's style but watch popular cable "political" shows

How it heartens me to hear from a kindred spirit!

I also prefer Dr. Savage, my Certified Public Accountant/Tax Lawyer friend. Unfortunately, the great Savage appears on a station which does not reach my nape of the neck (a la WMVP).

Very nice, my indigenous Mayan friend! Let it not be said that StoneRoses86 can not enjoy a good laugh at his own expense.
