Once Upon A Time...starts tonight...8pm EDT

Anybody planning on watching this?? The only reason I'm going to give it a chance is because 2 LOST writers are involved.

At least going to DVR it.

no. i'm already tired of the "fables" rip offs. this and "grimm" both look bad. and "lost" writers don't give me any confidence either.

i'll pass.

Yep.

Soap is best known for having the first gay TV character and inspiring such shows as Fraiser and Glee.

just read a review and it sounds pretty bad.

I'm a huge fan of "Fables" and for years have been saying that it would make a great tv show. Don't know why they don't just go ahead and make that show instead of these half assed ripoffs.

Maybe getting all the licenses to characters to appear on film?

Fables on HBO would be solid.

When we had Comcast, we got hooked on the reruns. About the only thing I miss, since we switched to Direct TV.

My GF and I watched it. She liked it, I didn't but I'll give it a second chance just to stare at Jennifer Morrison's smokin' body again

It looked interesting, and somewhat of an "Enchanted" rip off, but I DVR'd it and plan to at least check it out.

My wife liked it a lot, I was only half watching and it seemed OK.

I wouldn't be surprised if Antenna TV shows up on Direct TV soon. The Tribsters got a lot of pull.

I liked it! I really like Ginnifer Goodwin so that helped. Willing to watch again next week and then see where it goes.

Just watched it.

Not terrible.

Did feel like a "Fables" ripoff.

Kept waiting for Bigby to show up.

She falls pretty squarely in "cute" territory for me. Even when they try to sex her up in pictures, she's still just cute...as a button.

i actually wanted to find out if they gave credit to "fables" or anything so i looked it up...apparently the rights to "fables" were bought but nothing came out of it, and then this script came to them from those "lost" writers who claim that they had this idea for years.

i guess i can believe that; but i just think "fables" has a more interesting storyline and a more comical take whereas "once upon a time" looks pretty sterile.

From Wikipedia.

The show also has a similar premise to Bill Willingham's comic series Fables, to which ABC bought the rights in 2008, but never made it past the planning stages. Horowitz and Kitsis have "read a couple issues," of Fables but state that while the two concepts are "in the same playground," they believe they are "telling a different story."

If ABC already owns the rights to "Fables", why not just make that instead of a less interesting version?

Like I said, I'll watch until I get bored. But I'd much rather be watching Fables.

I really thought we were beyond the point in our board lives where, in a thread that rates a woman's beauty, someone would have to ask for pictures. I'm embarrassed for both of us.

Enjoying episode 3 almost 2/3 of the way in.

LOVED when Prince Charming grabbed his bow & arrows to save Swan's life *swoon* but then let down when he was all "take me to my jewels" :(

yes, i KNOW they will end up together and then tragically apart and then likely get together in their parallel universe! (LOST, anyone?)

Still, I'm a girl, and I swooned!

Robert Carlyle is really good as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.

Hope the story picks up a bit.

This fantasy/drama is from the folks who produced the long-running action show "Lost", and without giving much away, E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos reports that a character "will soon die". I'll let you figure that one out for yourself.
