Something I forgot to mention in the last post about teh case for Abraham. Holly died last episode. That eliminates the storyline of Abraham cheating on Rosita and the two of them breaking up. One less thing for Abraham to do before getting whacked?

Edit: Unless he cheats on Rosita with Sasha???

As far as replacing Glen's demise, wouldn't Carol qualify?

I was thinking anyone who has been there since season 1

It does seem like they are going to drag this out from 8,000 perspectives, though.

So Negan might be the season finale.

Yep.

He's definitely not dead now. There has been sightings of him on the set filming scenes with Jesus so unless that is massive redirection by Gimple ala Mark Burnett's tactics from the first season of Survivor its pretty obvious that Glenn somehow manages to not get bit under that pile. I bet he ends up hiding in the dumpster ala Rick hiding in the tank when they met for the first time. Rick might even be the one to save him from the dumpster and Rick can even playfully say "who's the dumbass now" to Glenn as he's pulling him from the dumpster. That would bring us full circle.

Read a lot of the comics on my vacation but only made it up to the part where the new characters are introduced after the big battle with Neegan.
It has been pretty good but interested to see what happens moving forward. That was pretty crazy at the end of the first big issue where Carl is
talking to someone in the basement. That is where I stopped.

Only a couple issues away from being current on this comic series. I am not really caring much for the Whisperers but I just left
off when Rick and company make it back to their new border and find some heads on pikes. Doc was right, it is more about
character development than what is actually happening in the comics right now.

I don't believe we will see Negan until near or at the season finale on the TV series. He appears to me to have a bigger role to
play in the comics when the group is probably desperate and needs him. Why he didn't leave when the jail house door was
open was a head scratcher to me.

That is a very unique thought. Oh, you forgot this, Señor Scoop: viewtopic.php?f=60&t=50091&start=1550#p2364759

I didnt say it was a unique thought or a scoop.

Ive only seen one other poster who was so sensitive about getting credit and quoted themselves like that.

I started reading the comics after the midseason finale, starting at 82. Now I've just finished the war Negan arc and was weirded out that Andrea is such a huge character in the comics as opposed to the T.V. show, also no Daryl very strange.

I know this was mentioned in the TV thread but I gotta think either Glenn or Daryl gets offed by Negan. I'm leaning more towards Daryl because of that weird ass shit with Glenn surviving the latest walker attack. It would seem very strange to have his death be a fake out, then be realized later in the season. But to give the TV version of the Negan arc the same gravity as the comics a big name has got to die.

I am finally all caught up. Actually it is interesting where the TV show is as opposed to the comics. There is a huge plot twist that will happen in the next issue of the
comic that should be available very shortly.

Read the latest issue of the comics last night. Again, an interesting parallel in the comics to where the TV show is.
Well known object appears out of the blue at the end, not sure exactly what it all means but it was an interesting way to end
that particular issue.

Well the 150th is coming out next month and is supposed to be huge, right? Sorta did a fake out with it being implied that Rick was letting Negan out of his cage. I dunno, maybe Dwight kills Negan or something, but that really doesn't make any sense so I have no idea what to make of that development.

Yes I thought Rick had had enough and was ready to unleash Negan but I guess that was naïve on my part.

If Glenn really does get offed by Negan then WTF was the point of the fake-out from the first half of this season? Is it supposed to hit us extra hard that the guy who is constantly almost-dying finally dies? The pure brutality of Glenn's brains being beat in in the comics packs more than enough emotional resonance.

you guys who said its gonna be Darryl who gets the bat, I hate to say it but it looks like you're gonna be right.

https://www.yahoo.com/tv/between-daryl-negan-viewers-missed-130055619.html

The internet is gonna explode if that happens.

reading the article the most telling part is talking about how Andrew Lincoln was sick to his stomach when he read the script for the finale. Same with Maggie. its not a secret that Norman Redus is the most popular person on the set. Everyone loves him, he's always pulling pranks and joking around. Him and Lincoln are especially tight.

At this point I'd put the betting line like this...

75% chance of Darryl
20% chance of Glenn
5% chance of Abe

Anyone still reading the comics? Kind of an interesting twist when they were able to make contact via the radio with someone

Got all caught back up with the comics through issue 158, just wondering if anyone else is keeping up.

I've been keeping up with the TPBs, but would like to switch back to teh comics since the TBPs seem to come out every 4 months or so. I just have to get around to going on ebay and buying the ones I need to catch me up.

Not sure if anyone has been keeping up but there was a major character death in one of the last issues. I haven't been keeping up
with the comics that much but isn't hard to catch up a couple issues at a time.

I'm about 5-6 issues behind I think, need to buy the rest and catch up. I think I finished the Whisper war.

Had some time to catch up on this in the past week. Although there are still Whisperers out there it would appear that they are moving on in
another direction and a new group that is pretty advanced. Too early to tell whether they are friend or foe from what I have read thus far.
Just was wondering if that is where they may try to tie the helicopter into the TV show or not. Pretty much trying to stop drawing conclusions
from the comics directly into the show anymore. Based on clues during the finale of the show and things I read it would appear that the
Whisperers will be next.
