Yeah it really was. I think the vast majority of horror flicks suck, but this one was especially bad.

If you wanted to see a decent version of the same story, there is one of those haunting shows on the Discovery Channel, also called A Haunting in CT, that isn't as bad...

I just finished watching Paranormal Activity on Netflix. Yeah, not so good the second time around.

It was terrible the first time around. Not scary, not suspenseful, hyped for no reason.

About to watch There Will Be Blood. I've always like DDL but this movie never appealed to me. Let's see it the critics are right.

it's longer than it needed to be. but the final scenes are awesome. pt anderson's best film remains "boogie nights".

Lions for Lambs is garbage. Very hollow movie. Even Meryl Streep is bad in it.

Great Tiger/Tide game. Bout to put on The Messenger now. Haven't seen it yet but heard and read great things so I have decent expectations for this.

The Messenger is really good, but feels incomplete.

Gonna throw on 48 hours now to fall asleep to. Eddie's best movie, and there's not a close second unfortunately.

Ali on Spike. I forgot how good Will Smith was in this.

Watched "Star Trek" yesterday. Pretty good. Entertaining. Never watched an episode of Star Trek in my life, either.

"Edge of Darkness" with Mel Gibson. God awful film but fun bad with Gibson's accent changing all the time from American to Australian to Bostonian to some kind of hybrid between all three.

That murder at the beginning of the movie was ridiculously gruesome.

"Legend" is on HBO Family right now. One of my guilty pleasures.

Shutter Island was on EPIX last night. I always wanted to see it in the theater but never did.
Acting was decent and the story was ok but there was a huge twist at the end that kind of left
me scratching my head like maybe I had just wasted 2 hrs and 15 minutes of my life.

I definitely helped make sense of things. I think on further review I would recommend it
but last night at 9:30 I didn't know what the hell to think.

Last night caught True Grit on one of my movie channels. I hadn't seen it since the theater, and I
enjoyed it even more the 2nd time around. While I knew what was going to happen, I was able to
really sit back and enjoy the dialogue and acting much more this time around. Excellent cast,
beautifully shot, and a wonderful western.

I remember that. I've never really had a strong urge to see this, but its making its way up the Netflix list, so I guess I'll give it a shot...

Caught that Eastwood flick Hereafter where Matt Damon plays a psychic. It was a little odd
and far fetched but I stuck it out until the end.

Higher Learning is on the Fuse network. Mid 90s John Singleton film about college life. Based on UCLA or USC I think. Unintentionally hilarious in many ways because every character is an extreme. Lesbian action. Cole Hauser as a skinhead. Busta Rhymes knocking motherfuckers out. Cowboy Curtis speaking with some bizarre accent. An obsession for peppermint. Really what more could you want out of a movie picture?

haven't tried to watch it in a long time but i always hated that movie. it was a real disappointment from john singleton, who i was a big fan of before that movie, and after, i kinda lost interest.

here's a good random movie; it was ondemand a few weeks ago but i'm not sure if it still is: the 1980's "blob" remake. that is classic stuff there. one of the best remakes ever.

Original Blob blew. Remake wasn't much but that part where the cook was plunging the sink and then the Blob got him freaked me out as a kid.
