by chance, did your wife or radio partner laugh at that joke?

also, i know i've been on waddle for being a graduate of "david kaplan's kiss the ring U" so it's pretty fitting that i think i've heard the dulcet tones of the father of the year himself on AM 1000 now (is this considered failing upwards from that end-of-the-dial FM talker that gave us the one legendary show in the form of someone's chicago sports talk radio career ending? i can't even remember who it was anymore but i remember on one cloudy/rainy afternoon that 87.9 station had us riveted!)

nyyyeeeeerrrrrrrg, g'hoy, uh, ACTUALLY, it was 87.7 as the FCC traditionally does not license the 87.9 frequency and 87.7 is technically television channel 6. I hope next time you do your research. Thanks in advance.

Oh, and it was Ben Finfer.

Who is Jeff Meller?

He's a producer for Waddle and Silvy. He has a fantasy football show on Sunday mornings.

So Frank, what was the best radio moment on Waddle and Silvy last year?

I don't listen as often anymore, but off the top of my head (probably missing some stuff): Waddle caused the fight between Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley, Waddle pees on lawns, their limo ride to the World Series, their Montero interview where he bitched about playing time, making fun of Mark Giangreco (giving out his hotel info on the road and prank calling him. I also enjoyed the Giangreco-Jeff Garlin feud), making fun of weird things Waddle says due to Waddle's brain fog/concussion aftermath, making fun of Nick Friedell and Jesse Rogers. Making fun of Kap. I hate parody songs but their holiday parody song contest is solid. There's a lot of little things that are really funny that I just don't remember or are more of a running gag then one thing.

Not a perfect show, but it can be really funny at times

It beats Barry Rozner. And I've been listening to Bernstein and Goff, not impressed there either.

Point is, This show is really not as bad as people make it out to be

It's a good show. That being said, all sports radio is a difficult listen in January because it is 90% NFL talk...except there aren't many NFL stories.

Boring radio.

Meller doesn't look at all like I thought he would.

For someone on the radio he does not speak clearly or articulately.

Surprisingly muscular for a radio producer.

We don't often agree ( a fact I'm sure you are proud of), but on this we are in agreement.

Waddle did a good job today taking down Steven A. Smith

Waddle is a Cutler apologist, at least Silvy manned up AFTER Jay's show was canceled, better late than ever.. Kaplan is the only guy in town that BBQs that bitch.

The 2- 6pm time slot on AM1000 has been the best option for sports talk during MANY recent years.
There are literally tens of posts on here that confirm this!

Depends on the mood. W and S is a fun bullshit show.

Then sometimes I feel like looking down on people and flip on B and G

He's not "not tough"

I'm probably going to shift to this show for the drive home for a while. Goff is just an insufferable listen.

I don't care enough to argue if he's tough or not, he's definitely shitty..as far as being soft he's shown ..

A. Mentally weak
B. Injury prone
C. Left the biggest game of his career when his knee hurt and he was playing lousy, Ive seen dozens of QBs play through the same knee injury for weeks and months.
