You realize people can't talk non stop sports for 4 hrs a day, 5 days a week?

It was about 20-30 minutes. Turned them off twice over that hour, after switching away from the abortion that is their station's attempt at transition.

Frankly, Mac lost me as a listener when he started railing against "guy talk" and pushing for more NFL/NHL. I really didn't think he understood what made the HFC great.

90+% of the posts in that thread are straight out insults or mocking her. That doesn't make her interesting at all.

I'd say what helps my cause is that W&S have consistently been ahead of Bernstein in ratings for a while now, and over the course of that time Bernstein has had two different hosts. Clearly more people find W&S interesting.

W&S have nothing to be worried about w/ the Score change. This isn't the Mac from 10 years ago. I'm a big Mac fan and like his podcast but Mac only works in short bursts. He'll quickly burnout and burn out his listeners 5 hrs a day, 5 days a week.

I could not disagree more. I believe Mac will turn WSCR around in the afternoons. He has a real challenge, as W&S have built up their listener base over the years, but Mac is a well known and respected brand in the Chicago radio community. People will tune in and give him a chance and I predict within a year, he will win in the ratings. Silvy is great, but Waddle is a boob that just repeats things he has heard other people say most often, when the subject is anything but football. The segment of Waddle's World should be named Waddle's producers world, as the producers find all the stories and then he picks from them. He does no research himself. He comes up with NOTHING, yet it's his world? Woodstock is overrated and lucky to have Silvy driving that show. I feel bad for Silvy that Mac will be competing head to head with his show now. Mac is going to win. It's what he does.

Waddle is a boob. He (quite obviously) barely watches any games. And some of their segments are complete horseshit. I cursed the Score daily for pushing me down the dial. It came down to Spotify more times than not of late.

If Mac was starting during football season I might give him the edge but Mac is useless talking baseball.

Time will tell. I wish Mac wasn't competing against W&S because I would like to listen to a Mac driven show. However, i'll stick with W&S as I like their drama free show and their rapport.

SOme might consider them boring but I don't need Sports radio to be a 3-ring entertainment circus.

I concede, Rick. There will never be as many threads in this section as there is in Bernstien's section. Us ESPN1000'ers simply cannot compete with Beardown in terms of starting threads.
