No chance

Its not even close.

Agreed.. it's Parkins all alone on top

Nope. Silvy is the best. He'll ask a tough question but he doesn't get obstinate with the subject just for the sake of whipping his cock out.

You have your head so far up your ass that you are liking your spine on this one. smdh.

I'm proud to be a charter member of the W&S ALS on this site. We may be a small group, but we're mighty.

I'm going to try to commit to post more show threads or bring in talking points from the show. It truly is the best local show. And Silverman is very good at what he does, including interviews.

Frank we may not agree on much but on this we're kindred. Aside from foisting Giangreco on the listening public 2 hours a week, its a great show.

Giangreco's sports thoughts are those of someone who only peripherally follows sports and his stories about his personal life should be labeled "Unwitting Tales of Arrested Adolescence and Subsequent Loneliness" and are usually depressing.

If you're gonna say stuff like this it sort of makes it hard to take you at your word when it comes to other hosts/shows in town I don't listen to.

Well, out of the two of us, I've listened to both.

Obstinate was a great word JORR used. Parkins was obstinate for no reason. He was embarrassingly looking to up his Chicago street cred with that interview by speaking for the obnoxiously frustrated fans instead of phrasing intelligent questions and follow-ups that might have actually gotten real answers. Instead, Paxson had to sit through 15-20 minutes of 'BUT I WANNA WIN NOWWWWW'

I don’t know what your first sentence means. I’ve listened to both shows as well.

Obstinate doesn’t apply to that Paxson interview and your characterization of it leads me to believe you didn’t even listen to it, or had it on in the background or something and missed most of it. Parkins never got hung up on one subject and never really even went down the I want to win now mode(Parkins is a tanking guy). He just wouldn’t allow Pax to openly lie and duck direct questions without calling him on it, which is something you want from a good interviewer.

Criticize Parkins all you want but anyone criticizing his Pax interview doesn’t know what a good interviewer does imo.

I remember the days of Silvy and Carmen in the mornings (and then nights). That was a really great show. That pair worked.

I missed this for what it is. Gotta stick by your fellow Green Party members.

And Vinnie, Derrick at the end of the game. Still my favorite Silvy moment.

I liked it as well. The Mac, Jurko and Harry show was great back then. I wish the station had those 2 shows on now.

Have always gone back an forth from 670 to 1000. I have enjoyed Waddle and Silvy more and more through the years. Also Silvy is probably my fav Chicago sports person to follow on twitter.

When Goff and Bernstein were together I started really listening to W&S and found the guests and the SPORTS talk and the guests were far better than the score. Esp on a national level.

Starting to sour on Parkins. Just so smug and privileged, yet all he talks about is how he doesn't need to work hard, but focus on those who have no privilege.
