I’d actually be curious to hear if she’s more conciliatory or if she’s still trying to play ignorant hardo.

Turned it on…kind of rambling and not really speaking to the Bears situation specifically. More so seems to be interested in making soldier field a better destination.

She’s created a team to explore how to do that now that the Bears are purchasing land outside the city.

She’s also now suggesting there are plenty of city lots that’d be competitive with what Arlington heights is offering.

Trying to go a little meatball. I never knew people who sat on the west side of the stadium had fewer amenities that those on the east side.

Thinks city will get more revenue if the bears leave somehow.

One comment she made that I think kind of seals things - and it was quick, so I could be wrong - but I’m pretty sure she said anything that resulted in the bears owning soldier field or a stadium on the museum campus was a dealbreaker.

Given what Bears can do in AH even sweaty teddy couldn’t be dumb enough to agree to that.

I don't think it's feasible to put a roof on Soldier Field.

She mentioned improving access to Soldier Field. How would that be accomplished?

I didn't know there were "plenty" of other options in Chicago where the Bears could build a stadium.

Yes, put Michael Wilbon on whatever committee is created to help keep the Bears in Chicago. He most valuable contribution would like be standing around wearing a t-shirt that says "Did I mention I'm from Chicago?"

the bears are moving to arlington heights as long as that land deal goes through. there's no way the city can put together an offer that is going to match having 320 contiguous acres.

The Wilbon thing was cringeworthy.

Chicago has zero plots of land that can rival AH.

The access thing and the ‘I’ve just formed a committee thing’ strike me as somebody announcing actions that should’ve been considered years ago.

Look Im loathe to defend anything about that bug eyed fucking horror show but honestly, the last thing on her agenda should be being concerned about keeping the Bears in Chicago, stadium leases or whatever. She has far bigger catfish to fry. Let a finance person worry about that crap.

Its a political ploy. When she is on the campaign Trail, she can say, "Look I kept the Bears in Chicago and got the city through covid." She's not going to be able to fix any other 'catfish'

If they really wanted space couldn't they just obliterate the McCormick convention/covid overflow building? Would't you want a convention center near the airport anyways instead of where it is currently at?

Not that I want them to stay, but how large is the old Michael Reese space?

Before it got sold or whatever they could have blown up the old post office and all around that. Train right to the game.

I am glad she will be remembered as the moron who allowed the BLM crowds to riot, loot, vandalize and commit arson, while telling Police Officers to stand back, as well as the Mayor who lost the Bears, after the team said they needed Soldier Field to be updated with seating added and she told them to focus on winning more games and called their threat to leave Chicago just a negotiating ploy. 1 term Lori. But what do you expect from a woman married to a big, ugly white man who transitioned to a big uglier white woman?
