He was a very good College Fotball player. He is somewhat of a rising star on the College football scene too. But a legend......a stretch. Then again, they had Tom Ricketts on a past Lunch with a Legend and at that point I believe he had owned the team for only about a year, had not changed either the manager or GM or done anything to indicate he was legendary at anything but being born to a Father who could afford to buy the Cubs.

That said, the Dawson Lunch was outstanding. Had to be the best of the bunch so far. Some great stories and Dawson seemed to be truely engaged in the event.

Nobody yields to me in their dislike of Pat Fitzgerald. But he was a two-time Nagurski award winner (only ever two-time winner) and a two-time Bednarik winner (one of only two). He's also in the college football hall of fame. Dopes.

Pre Legend. The guy will be here until he dies. If they really do build a new facility on the lake, it could be really nice, help recruiting and Fitz is smart enough to have it designed with a home field edge. Next to the lake, no passing.

There are a couple of chucklers on the Nagurski list. But not many.

Bruschi was a DE. Also, Fitzgerald played in '96 as well, while all those players were drafted after '95. Even if you take those three, counting Bruschi, through in Kevin Hardy, not sure who number 5 would be. And that's just for '95.
