Gotta figure he is 200K, which is not the surprise, but I think these guys make like an extra $2000 for these appearances? and it seems Silvy does 1 or 2 a week, if not more?

If I am correct on the extra side money, Silvy has to be around an extra 100K in side money. Thats some good spare change to pick up!

You are not.

If you appear during a show, you get an extra nothing.

If they were paying $2-3K, Bernsy would be doing them.

Beer remote, prolly closer to $750. Still good dough, but far from $3K>

I know Seacrest said $750, maybe it was awhile ago, but I do remember getting a larger number from "my source", as I am not sure Silvy travels to Mokena, etc on a friday night for $750? or even EP. The guy is married, cant think the wife is happy that he goes out every friday night to a drinking event.

I thought the cost of a remote was $8-10K and some of that went to the hosts. So they got regular pay and then addon for the remote work.

Also, Silvy seems to be the only guy doing these appearances. Waddle and Jurko dont have time. carm does one every once in awhile if it is more "civilized" and Harry was banned from doing them, even when he was there after his "rehab".

Something tells me Silvy is pulling some really good coin on these deals. You get the host talking about where they are going to be for a week, I just think that costs more than $750

I wonder if he has to share any of the pay with the station since he's allowed to advertise the appearances on the air.

The station sells the whole package to the Beer distributors. the Bar doesnt pay for it. The Beer guys do, or liquor guys, as an incentive to the Bars to buy their products. Yes, the station makes the most for sending a guy out,.

Remote pay can be a contract clause. No one wants to go to the Taste anymore, so the Score doesn't go. Same was true for many years at the Auto Show.. They may go now, they did not for a long time.
People had that put into their contracts.

Bar remotes can be far more than $8K.

Silvy may command more money because of who he is.

mcbrides can answer this better than me, but I think it can work both ways. The bar can pay for it or the beer guys. And it's not cheap either way.

Also - it's way more $$ for an actual remote from an establishment than it is for an "appearance" on a Friday night. I believe a couple years ago it was in the neighborhood of $4k-$5 for a remote during the regular shifts.

Silvy does more appearances than anybody has since Harry during the golden years of MJH. Which is good for him, get it while you can - before you get pulled over by the Skokie po-po with oregano all over your sweater. It all goes away when that happens.

I dont think any Bar guys ever pay for this type of thing. Its way more than they would ever spend on a remote for something in the middle of the day or before 5.

even for cutler, they only get like 60 people at Old crow Smokehouse.

Its a National brand endorsement deal. Thats why Jay reads the Cadillac commercials and some Beer company sponsors it.

They dont make money on this stuff.

You have to look at it like this.

TB has been knocking down $300K+ for like 10 years now and he has no real life expenses left. Do you think you are getting his ass to Elgin to sit in a bar for $125? or even $500?

If i had to guess i would say silvy is pulling down 200K. a friend told me the score wanted 10k for a remote @ his bar 4-5 years ago. I will get a definitive answer this week. I have a friend who owns a bar that had Silvy there last month. there us no way she could come up with 10k for a remote so maybe the price has changed drastically .

Talked to a family memeber that worked for ESPN 1000 and they said that the random Friday night apperance was worth about 1k. The bar gets publicity all week long along with the extra revenue generated by all the creepy radio groupies that show up to an event like that. Gotta figure Silvy isn't hurting for money at all since he does at least one of these a week sometimes two.

Family member also said they heard Stacey King made 5k for an apperance.

That presumes two 2-man shows. What about Mac, Jurko and Waddle?
