No sooner does Gus Johnson, Charles Davis & sideline reporter Julie Alexandria wrap up FOX Sports' first full season of "College Football Saturday", Big Ten basketball fans will soon get plenty more of Gus around these parts.

BTN, the FOX-owned college sports channel that used to be known as Big Ten Network, has announced its talent lineup for the upcoming Big Ten basketball season. BTN has announced that Gus will get on the bus again to work a 5th season of BTN's coverage of Big Ten men's basketball. Johnson, along with returning BTN PBP voices Wayne Larrivee, part time Dodgers' TV voice Eric Collins, full time Indians' radio voice Tom Hamilton, full time' Brewers TV voice Brian Anderson, Dave Revsine & Dial Global Radio's Kevin Kugler will each call Big Ten men's basketball games this winter on the network. Former Ohio State star Jim Jackson, ex-Michigan State star turned NBA TV's Steve Smith, former Illinois standout Eddie Johnson, ex-Michigan State standout Greg Kelser, former Northwestern star Shon Morris & veteran CBS Sports' analyst Dan Bonner will all return to analyze games on BTN this basketball season. The network has yet to assign pairings for the many games that'll air.

There are some notable newcomers joining BTN for the first time. Ex-ESPNU PBP voice Justin Kutcher, former Charlotte Bobcats' HC Sam Vincent, former Ohio State point guard Scoonie Penn, ex-Illinois shooting guard Sean Harrington, and former Wisconsin standout/ex-ESPN analyst Mike Kelley are 5 newcomers to the network's roster for men's basketball.

As for BTN's talent for Women's Basketball, former NBA TV & ESPN analyst LaChina Robinson, who played her college ball at Wake Forest, joins a roster that includes returning PBP voices Lisa Byington & Brenda VanLengen, as well as returning analysts Debbie Antonelli, Stephanie White & Mary Murphy at courtside.

The network will televise as many as 175 men's & women's basketball games, both in the Big Ten and out of conference this winter, including 4 Big Ten's Men Tournament & 10 Big Ten Women's Tournament games. BTN will also televise 2 60 minute preview specials to whet fans' appetites for the upcoming season. BTN will air an hourlong "Big Ten Men's Basketball Preview Show", hosted by Dave Revsine & Jim Jackson Sunday, November 4th at 6P, while BTN's Mike Hall & Stephanie White host the "Big Ten Women's Basketball Show" Monday, November 5th at 7:30P.

I thought it was a reference to a lyric to Paul Simon's 1975 hit song "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover", which had a lyric "hop on the bus, Gus."
