Not so sure on the $15-20 mill mark. He was $1.25 for 5 years and before that $500K for 3 deals spanning about 9 years.

Radio reads, endorsements, etc are great, but they are not clearing $1mill more.

I dont doubt he grossed $10 Mill, but take some taxes out of that, some major real estate flops and some other major flops he tried to produce on his own, add in his lifestyle of spending pretty big, I would guess the nest egg is in the $1-$2M left mark.

Saw a special on Craig Newmark, from Craigslist. When it got really big , he said it only took a few friends to tell him he doesnt do a great job managing and he needs a CEO...If North was REALLY smart this is exactly what he would have done and the guy would still be on the radio today, living in a huge house on Murphy Lake and worth probably another $3-4$ Mill.

Early 80's was not even close to the boom in vegas housing, so he wouldnt be able to just go out there and get a job doing anything, as everyone needed able bodies in the late 90's.

I agree with GD, if he did this even for 2 days, he would have talked about it on the air multiple times and one of us would have heard him talk about it. Or one of the hosts he worked with.

Simply put, Mike is doing 2 radio shows from this attraction during the Super Bowl and the CEO is letting Mike try to basically sell the naming rights to this event.

I would be willing to bet the CEO of Luxor is unaware Mike has called himself a "Managing Partner" even if it is just the Radio studio of this attraction which looks pretty cool.

Maybe David Hernandez can write a check!

I assume the naming rights are for the studio so all the out of town shows will broadcast "Hey, you're listening to Harry and the Beaver on The Harry Beaver Show, live from Tony's Deli Studio at The Luxor in Las Vegas".

1. If I know Mr North he will be selling the naming rights to the whole attraction, while only instructed to do so for the radio studio. Not saying he will sell the naming rights, but he will be offering them. The name of the thing does kinda suck.

2. Seems they already have shows from the studio on a semi regular basis from FOX sports, so this is akin to the Baratone Theatre Fax Machine!

Once again, I give North credit for talking to the CEO and letting him think it is a good thing to be aligned with the North to North Brand....because nothing ever goes wrong when you sign up with them!

I don't think you do. Larz doesn't say he misspoke. He says there was "bad information." I still think Pappy fibbed to Larz about the construction thing, presumably numerous sources brought the erroneous timeline to his attention, and he somewhat diplomatically retracted it. He doesn't say he regrets an error. He apologizes for the confusion.

Funny thing is that when reading more of Mike Norths Bio....according to Mike North, I think a few other things didnt work so well in the timeline....but we will let that one pass....

I used to actually think I would enjoy him back at the Score, if he could be the lighthearted guy he once was, but I don't think he could back to a guy making wisecracks and knowing he doesnt know what the hell he is talking about.
