Caught the first 15 minutes of the replay in the car this afternoon. Haaaaaarible. He whined about the lawsuit against Sirius, which he lost, and is now dead in the water. The lawsuit where he claimed Sirius didn't pay him his bonus for bringing in subscribers, because Sirius didn't count the listeners XM already had when they merged. I'm sure the language in the contract was very clear, as the judge dismissed it without a trial. He actually said that it wasn't even heard, because the judge has it out for Howie, due to his enormous income. Then he railed about Sirius execs who have taken bonuses, and who have it out for him since the merger, even though Stern is a team player. He has ripped management for thirty years, but he claims to be a team player. The guy who has earned anywhere from $700 to $900 million in his two contracts from Sirius, was complaining that the rich get richer.
He is as out of touch as those old people who didn't believe that Liberace was gay.
The lawsuit, and his unbearable hours at AGT have made him sick. Hampton's Howie was mad at himself for taking this job, due to the agonizing amount of work required. It's 31 days of work, and I would assume most of it is sitting on his tuchis, watching a talent show, for $20 million. I'm crying for him as I type this. He complained that AGT is using up all of his vacation. AGT is 31 days, and many of those days were in NYC or NJ, requiring little to no travel. His Sirius work schedule is three days per week, with 10 weeks vacation. That means he works 126 (4 to 4-1/2 hour shifts) days per year at Sirius, and 31 days of AGT, for a total of 157 days. If you figure that both jobs were worked on some days, and I believe that some were, he has at least 208 days per year where he doesn't have to work at all. This person is complaining about working too much to an audience, comprised of many who struggle to make ends meet.
A caller asks him questions about AGT. Stern whines that the other judges have complained about him (he has people behind the scenes) taking up too much camera time in interviews. Then he says, "I probably do, I'm not a team player", five minutes after claiming to be a team player. The caller then asks him who is hotter, Mel B. or Heidi Klum, to which he replies, "I don't know, I don't even look at them". The last time I listened was one month ago, when he was talking about how hot Mel B is. PTFB. See you in a month, Howie. Or maybe I won't.
