It's a bit. In moments of excitement he says names UN-EXAGGERATED. it sounds contrived and DB worthy.

And Ill continue to disagree with you guys that have a problem with an announcer going out of his way to use the correct pronunciation of player's names.

Do you think Adam Eaton over emphasizes the t in his last name? But I agree with you on the Latin names.

Serious question - Has there been a way established as to how to pronounce Bears Coach Matt Nagy's last name yet?

I have heard it pronounced differently over the last few weeks... "Naggy" & "Neggy" being the most common.

Yes.

No one else pronounces Contreras' name like that, not even Contreras.

IIRC Nagy said it's "Neggy" but both are fine with him.

Referring to a player's "athleticism." They are professional athletes. Can we just assume that they will display athleticism without it being a trait of any particular player?!?
