Has anyone bothered texting for this? Even by radio contest standards, it feels pretty futile. But even 780 has to do it now: traffic on the 8s, infinitesimal chance to win money on the 24s.

Also being done at a station here in town. Chances of winning are probably not good.

They should rename it Dr. Ken's lucky text contest.

I assume that they are cheaply harvesting cell phone numbers and getting aggregated demographic and purchasing data for potential national sponsors.
