I didn't know where to put this (does Munson still count as "local?" Sox section? Obama thread?)

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=3683722

Worth a read if only for the following :D

Quote:
On the afternoon of the 76th day of his presidency (Monday, April 6), Obama will be back on Chicago's South Side to join fellow White Sox fans at U.S. Cellular Field for Opening Day against the Kansas City Royals.

Lester Munson used to write for Sports Illustrated, but these days writes for ESPN.com. Munson and that black long-sleeve shirt of his frequently appear on local & national sports talk shows everywhere whenever sports law comes up. He's been Chicago-based for years, but I feel he's more national than local. The article you're referring has to do with what President Obama's election yesterday really means for sports teams, taxes, etc. Another national guy, CNBC's Darren Rovell, wrote a similar blog yesterday at CNBC.com. Based on what I read there, many sports owners were hoping for a win yesterday for John McCain.

anyone making over $600K had a good reason to hope for McCain. thats quite a bit of tax money.

Absolutely. Bumped into him at the Dominick's by Madison and Halsted not too long ago (full report in "Brushes" section.) I smiled and nodded, he frowned, nodded back and, I thought, rolled his eyes.

Was it because you were wearing nothing but assless chaps and a leather flightcap?
