In fairness to Lebron, he didn't make fun of fans for having terrible lives THIS year.

I saw that this morning on "The Dan Patrick Show", and in my opinion, LeBron James as Sportsman of the Year is a good call.

I didn't realize LBJ was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Well, LeBron has grown up. I still didn't like the way he presented himself with the whole "Decision" thing on ESPN, and in hindsight, I think he's regretting it as well.

I would have given the award to the bouncy sprinter girl from the Olympics.

That's a heck of a year for 'Bron 'Bron.

Not even sure who else could be in the discussion. Gabby? But that's such a short time frame of what she did.

Last year Summitt and Krzyzewski were co-winners so it appears they winner doesn't have to be an athlete. In that case, I bet some board memebers would suggest Gary Bettman should be in the discussion.

Winning championships and medals is only part, a small part, of being a "sportsman".

No. Did you not see that Lebron was NBA Finals MVP? That was 5 whole games.

Cancer patients benefit from them don't they? And assholes need drugs to be less assholey. I was much more agreeable when I wasn't sober.

SI dropped the ball on this one. The Sportsman of the year should've been someone else who graced the cover of their "fine" publication this year.

This seems genuine.

Maybe I do need some drugs. They have to be legal though. I'm not one of "those people".

Best part is that he has a barber shop in his house, yet they show him just hanging out at the barber shop, which is what they are going for.

I am sure LeBron just drives around and buys people ice cream, takes pictures with people while taking calls from his old HS coach. In the original commercial he takes a call from Magic Johnson and then they edited that out?

While it is obvious they brought in some other people to help craft Lebrons image, it's just too damn obvious that his image has been crafted. Notice in all his commercials he rarely says anything.
