I was towed once and only once.
I lived in an apartment in Addison. Had a parking sticker. When I traded in my car on a friday night, I went home. THe plates were the same. Popped a note in the back window, "Bought new car tonight, old was White Sunbird License Plate TH LMON, same plate on this car".
Yeah, cocksuckers towed me.
Went to the complex office the next morning. They refused to do anything for me. "You're required to have a sticker on your vehicle". I told them I brought it home for the first time at 8pm that previous night, what was I supposed to do? Put the note in and everything.
"Sorry. That's the rules".
For the record it turns out I have a friend of a friend who worked for the towing company. It was a $175 tow. The apartment complex got $50 for each car the company pulled off the lot.

I did go somewhat nuts on the broad at the Complex. I was young, my first apartment so I think I was just shy of 21 and much more hot headed than I am today. They told me if I didn't like it I could terminate my lease. Punk ass motherfucker.

I lived in those apartments in Addison that's down Swift road from the former Dave and Busters. I suppose I could have parked at D&B and walked a half mile home. I never thought that with my plates being transferred to the new car and the note that is obviously a resident (they could have checked the plate records or let it go for a night) that they'd tow me.
Really pissed me the fuck off. I'm not sure what I was really supposed to do.
