There's still a lot of talent on the board. If Sedrick Van Pran, Drake Nugent, or Ja'Tavion Sanders are available, you have to get them. I wouldn't mind if the Bears traded up to get 2 of the 3.

I would have loved Cooper Beebe, but he went 2 picks before the Bears.

Van Pran is my guy. I’d really like to come out of this thing feeling optimistic about the center position long term.

Hub said that his Halas Hall sources have confirmed that the Bears will definitely start Shelton at center this season.

I think that pretty much guarantees that they will be selecting a starting center with their final pick today.

The Bears only have 1 pick left. What are you using to trade up?

But it isn’t a deep draft….

This is 3 drafts in a row now I’m asking for a Center. I hope they grab the best player available for C with their pick.

It baffles me why the last few regimes here seem to place no value on the Center position. Even more baffling when you consider it’s been our lines biggest and most obvious hole these last couple seasons..

I'm sure the tubercular gimps Gute picks up in the later rounds today will give you the best practice squad in the league. Or will he be stocking your roster with a battalion of Pop Warner players to secure yet another Median Age championship?

Nope, I have been told time and time again on this very site that it isn’t a deep draft but here we have Governor Nas telling us different, don’t crap me now.

Did Nas ever say he thought the draft was weak in the later rounds? If not, you're arguing incoherently--which is, apparently, part of the sad reality of being a Gutelicker.

No center they draft at this point is a definite starter.

Honestly, I am no Badgers fan but if Bortelini was there, it would be a great pick and he most definitely can start right away.

Of course he did. NASty did it after he realized that the Bear's only had four picks instead of the haul they cold have had instead. So he attempted to claim the there aren't any NFl caliber players beyond the fifteen first round picks. Nas is akin to Ditka when he went to NO and traded his entire draft for a running back. :afro: :afro:

Can he play on the line when he isn't punting? What the fuck kind of pick is that when you have a massive shortage of picks to begin with.

Why would a team that won’t be punting at all draft a punter?

It’s fine. This guy is guaranteed to be a top 5 punter. Anybody else would have been 50/50 to be a decent player. That’s what most 4th rounders are.

3 phases. Less stress on your defense when the other team gets the ball inside the 5 every time.

While your first statement may be proven true, the 2nd statement is idiotic.

Yeah, it’s way less than 50/50.

Yeah, it’s way less than 50/50.

I guess I would be interested to see if NFL rosters have more 1-3 round picks than 4th thru 7th and unrestricted free agents but I think you would be surprised.

Idiotic? 32 4th rounders are taken every year. How many do you think are good? Most are out of the league in a few years. Decent is good for a 4th rounder.

Absolutely will be buying a Tory Taylor Bears jersey.

Devin Hester was the Tory Taylor of punt returning.

I would not be surprised with how many fourth rounders are on rosters. They’re just not good.

Van Pran was still on the board, he’s starter material especially for the Bears.

Poles continues to do dumb shit during his drafts and ignore important positions that have been problems while he’s here like Center.
