Nobody’s out there accusing Darnell Wright of shoplifting from target. I’ll count this as a win for Poles.

Let's face it. 99% of everybody's thoughts, unless it's at your job or you have expertise, are someone else's.

The above thought is assuredly not my own.

Like I said around the draft with this kid -he’s going to fuck up again, it’s only a matter of time. Some people just can’t get right, and I think Carter is one of those people.

It may not happen this year, but I’d imagine in the coming seasons we’re going to see this kid fuck up big time again.

is this organization going to be smart enough to lose to the cardinals on purpose on christmas eve? all it would take is poles going to ownership in advance to explain.

If you truly want to lose a game do you start Fields or Bagent? A strong argument could be made that they win yesterday if Bagent starts (provided he doesn't turn the ball over)

Bagent’s low ceiling won’t beat good teams, but his higher floor probably has a better chance of beating bad teams.

And Fields high ceiling doesn’t beat good or bad teams. Time to just be done with him - after he loses as many games as he can this year.

Without having watched the whole game , was there any throws Fields made with his rocket arm that Bagent would not have been able to make ? look to me that the receivers were pretty open all day on the completions. The TD pass ? Moore was open by 2 strides , I expect an NFL qb to be able make that throw , it shouldn’t be a surprise that it was completed. Matter of fact I think Detroit’s defensive scheme sucked yesterday. It’s like they watched the tape of Washington and Denver games and said let’s do that.

Bagent doesn't make the throw on the Moore TD, but he probably hit's Moore in the 4th quarter, moves the sticks and the Bears wind the clock

The surprise to me was that he pulled up and threw it…seemed like he was ready to run. Progress!

That is just wrong thinking. Fields has played very well in the last four games and deserved better than he got with the outcomes. The coaching for this game was awful and the weak assed centers not being able to snap he ball on time put Fields in a hole also. Blaming him is just nuts. It is worse than praising the Lions signal caller for the win.

Great article. Doesn't make Sweat or Eberflus look good not to mention Poles trading for this clown.

It's very puzzling that Sweat didn't play more, especially given how thin the Bears are at defensive end.

On another note, Schrock has probably been the best Bears beat writer over the past year.

Until proven otherwise I am just going with Flus is an idiot. That is the answer to all things at the moment.

Poles very well maybe an idiot too, but I think there is still some time left for him.

On Parkins and Spiegel yesterday they both affirmed that Fields assumed no culpability for that late fumble.

And he and his apologists never will. It’s the receivers, it’s the coaches, and apparently it is now the centers fault. Losers lose. I don’t think the coaches are great but after 3 years it’s time to admit that even with his athletic ability, no amount of coaching will fix his eyes or head.

Callers this morning lamenting that Fields had an impossible task to drive “80 yards” in 29 seconds. In reality, he needed only about 35-40 to get within Santos’ range.

Johnson picks up about half of that in one play if Fields gets him the ball.

I saw Fields do some things Sunday, (stepping up in the pocket), that I haven't really seen before.

But it's his mechanics that still give me caution more than anything else. Even if he sees it, he's still too slow on the release.

If his mechanics scare you most I wonder if you've ever watched football before. His problem is not mechanics.

It's the wind up and pitch that sucks. Good qb's the ball pops out like a shotgun. Fields is like trubinsky it's a huge draw back and use the whole body and by the time it's out someone is where it's going.
