No, my reading and comprehension is just fine, but your response shouldn’t shock me.

Also, if you believe Mr. Fields is an All Pro quarterback, how is the possibility of maybe being a backup in Pittsburgh a W for you?

If he goes to Pittsburgh he won't be a backup. And how do "we" know that you, as a Packer fan, aren't pulling the old "swerve" move with all of your Justin Fields dissing? I think that secretly you know that he is a player and want him out of the division as a result of it

He is not starting ahead of Wilson in Pittsburgh, period unless an injury. I have seen plenty of Fields and I assure you there is no concern about an NFL quarterback that can’t play quarterback.

Again all of this sounds well when you say it to other members of "Groupthink". But to a "Long Time" observer of the NFL it means nothing. Justin Fields is easily in the top 5 when it comes to talent at the QB position in the NFL. And that includes your beloved Jordan Love. It would be insane to just give up on someone like that until you know for certain that the talent will not be actualized.

Not really, not when you are in the position the Bears are and can reset the quarterback clock. He hasn’t proven anywhere near the ability to play at any consistent level in the pocket. As far as your Jordan Love comment, if you can find anyone other than The Hawk that agrees with you, I would be shocked.

It’s pretty obvious at this point. If anything the Fields cult is group think not the skeptics. A lot of us had an open mind all year and were looking for improvement. But when I saw the strides taken by Love vs the Fields, it was clear Fields is not a Super Bowl QB.

Do you think the Bears are unwilling to trade Fields? That's the only logical way I was wrong that the Eagles chose Pickett over Fields.

If Groupthink were being honest, they'd admit that he had a shitty OC and supporting cast on offense. And how can you say that Groupthink had an "open mind" when MANY called for the rather garbage Tyson Bagent to be the starting QB over Fields? And even now still laud him for "getting the ball out quickly" even as he proceeded to throw twice as many Ints as TDs as he did it? Just Asking Questions

As I explained at the time, if they had determined that Fields wasn't the future which obviously they have, then it's time to see if Bagent had any reason to be on the roster going forward.

You're already "pivoting" Your original point was about Philly "choosing" Pickett over Justin Fields remember. Not whether the Bears were "open" to trading Justin Fields.

So by your "calculation" it made a helluva lot sense to bench a starting caliber QB (thereby killing his trade value if you looked to move him later) just to see if the backup had what it takes to be well, a backup. Sounds logical

No. The Eagles chose Pickett. Only way they didn't is if Fields wasn't an option.

Yeah I'm sure you've convinced yourself that you "chose" to "buy" the Subaru over the Maserati simply because you liked the Subaru a lot better too over the years.

My posting throughout the season was clear- I was looking for signs that Fields would make the leap. I also admitted to being quicker to pull the plug because I hung on way too long with Rex, Mitch, an Cutler.

Fields just ain’t good enough. He has lots of talent, but not the it factor that makes QB’s great.

Who’s the subaru in this analogy?

Simple Question. If Justin Fields is traded will he command a greater or lesser "haul" than Pickett?

There is no doubt in my mind that with proper coaching and supporting cast that he will be a,Pro Bowl player.

If the Bears, Bulls, Sox, and Cubs had the best players at every position and the best managers/coaches, they would win championships nearly every year. There is no doubt in my mind about this.

Simple question and actually relevant to your original point. If Justin Fields is traded will the Bears receive a greater or lesser haul than Pittsburgh received for Pickett?

It's difficult to take "Groupthink" seriously when you have guys as part of your "membership" who provide thoughts such as this.

He should get more because Pickett sucks and has no potential. Hopefully some team chooses to give the Bears more.

Which means that "Philly" didn't actually "choose" Pickett over Fields doesn't it?

No, it means they chose a lower value guy because they didn’t think Fields was worth the price tag.

That’s the choice they made.

Should I ignore all of your future takes because of the way you are dug in on Fields and Patrick Williams? Should I ignore all of your future takes because you were wrong about something in the past?

Outside of the money, life for a quarterback drafted early in the draft isn't fair. They often go to shit teams that have shit players and coaches. The great ones rise above their circumstances and elevate those around them. Few get the opportunity Mahomes was afforded. You only get one shot; do not miss your chance to blow. This opportunity comes once in a lifetime.
