Caleb Williams is like being under the gun 7-handed with a pair of Jacks. You have to bet out, but the flop may destroy you.

What the merry blue fuck are you talking about?

Which bet would you rather make? The one that if you lose at long odds, you are out of money (Fields) or the one that you probably are also going to lose more often than you win, but you can stay in the game (Williams)?

It's math. You have to draft Williams. Even though there's a 1 in 3 chance he's going to be a Mark Sanchez level bust.

Ok. Lol. That analogy was rough bro but I gets you. Sorry.

There's a bigger chance of Williams busting than fields regressing from where he's at.

If Fields improves he's likely to be still below Williams busting.

We have to face this sooner or later. Fields was a bust.

No way. Badgent is a bust. Fields isn't what we hoped for, but he's not in his prime yet either.

As the old saying goes "Money On The Wood Makes The Bet Go Good". If you believed in Caleb as much as you pretend then you would have put money up. And you also immediately backed off your ORIGINAL claim the second I called your bluff.

Ok, name what value makes it worth your while.

$100

I'm in, and I'll donate the $100 to Ogie for his service.

These cult guys are confused. If Williams sucks it doesn't mean Fields was good. It means both suck. We lose nothing by jettisoning Fields. No regret no what could have been. He didn't want to be good. He thought he could succeed in the NFL by playing the same way he did in college against future accounting interns with the occasional NFL draft pick sprinkled in.

We're getting rid of Fields because he sucks. Even if Caleb Williams did not exist there's no statistical basis for keeping Fields around - he can't throw consistently nor lead offenses to the end zone

What's the line? This would be a good board pool. $50 each, the line is fields wins a playoff game before he's 30.

CFMB's "Groupthink" would never be able to recover from such an epic defeat if Fields isn't dealt Caleb Williams is. They are the equivalent of the poker player who has now gone "all in" on the bet by placing all of his chips in the center of the table.

Because it’s the right move.

Anybody who’s watched Williams and/or college football and/or the Bears offense over the past few years understands the situation. It’s why the Williams camp isn’t as emotional as the Fields cult. This is a no-brainer. .

Williams really doesn't have a "camp" however. Adam Hoge talked about it a few days ago. And you see it here. Groupthink is a helluva lot more about Justin Fields hate than it is Caleb Williams love.

Adam Hoge may be the dumbest human being in Chicago.

You are really full of crap. Its notable once again that you reference a nondefined "statistical" basis as the reason for getting rid of Fields. Why don't you push yourself out of the football bathrooms for your supposed "football wisdom". You're bringing the stench of some very bad analysis along with you.

First off, all of us wanted Justin Fields to be good, I wanted Corey Patterson to be good when I was a kid, but you have to trust your eyes, and acknowledge what you see on the field. He still is fundamentally flawed and has a difficult time reading defenses.

You can maybe improve his footwork and drops a little with coaching, but you see the same problems week after week.

If you go back and watch the Raiders game you will hear the analyst talk about how the Bears rarely use the middle of the field after the UDFA QB hit a 15 yard in cut, the rest of the league had Fields figured out right away.

LTG's most talented list of players that he personally curated based on years expert evaluations:

Bustin Fields, ranked 42nd best 4th quarter QB out of 32 starters
Patrick Williams, whose name still hasn't been loaded into the Bulls HR system because no one knows who he is
Ben Simmons, a guy so committed to team sports he refuses to play offense out of a fear of shooting free throws

Yeah, he really knows what he's talking about.

And Vegan's list of talented players begins and ends with 40 year old LeBron James. He literally hates every player in every sport besides LeBron. Even now he hasn't really said that he believes that Caleb is the goods, only that Justin Fields sucks. Typical.

Bagent is far from a bust. He was not drafted and in itself making a starting roster is very commendable. He just doesn't have enough arm strength to be a starting qb.
