He's not the first guy I have seen with that stupid reachout bullshit. Some teams teach, you only try the reach out on 4th down. heard that on the postgame. the risk of a touchback or fumble versus getting the ball on the one for 4 tries. It doesn't even make sense.

Maybe that same water will get you to read or understand the NFL rulebook.

Id hope it would get you to admit you were incorrect, but Im smart enough to know that wont happen.

Also, the Bears didn't play as well as the Packers.

Evidently, I know MANY more things about NFL rules than you do.

I also know when to walk away. Maybe one day you will figure that out too.

How stupid are you to not realize the risk/reward ratio on that challenge was awful. I am 100 percent confident they could have punched that in for a TD if they accepted the call and spot. There is no discussion of this and there is an almost 100 percent certainty of pts on the board if Fox doesn't throw the challenge.

Yeah, I brought this up earlier and no response. Even if it was a TD, is it worth risking losing a TO especially knowing how goofy the challenge rulings have been the past few weeks? If your offense can't punch it in from 1st and goal at the 1 or 2 at least 85% of the time, then you have some major issues with your offense. And if we are looking to "build the man," then give him the ball and let him get it in there some way instead of hoping you get lucky on a challenge that most of the time is ruled out of bounds anyhow.

Good site with interesting discussion. The first link opens with the article found in the second link. It refers to the non-td in the New Orleans game, but nothing has been posted about today's game on that message board as yet.

Blaming the refs and lashing out at me will only make you feel better in the short run. Like an addict getting his or her fix.

I'm here for you.
Uh, that is not lashing out.

After the game I put the loss squarely on.the Bears. The refs did not help, as indicated above, but they didn't lose the game for the Bears either.

You did - however - claim the refs favor the Packers in both this thread and in the one during the previous loss. I hope you can take some solace knowing that your meatball pain only serves to warm a Packers fans cockles.

Yowza, all this unreal crying about the touchback. The Bears had half the 2nd quarter and the whole 2nd half to regain composure and fuck the Pack up. Who the hell let's freaking Brett Hundley look OK?!?!?!

I did find it annoying that Speilman kept insisting that McCarthy should call the same plays for Hundley as he did for Rodgers. They have completely different skill sets and it would be the definition of bad coaching to pretend otherwise. (Of course at the end of the game he said Hundley should just hand the ball off but if it were Rodgers he would call for a quick pass).

Agreed, Rodgers has a skill set.

MANY have said that it did not have a true bearing on the out come of the game. The Bears had zero 3rd quarter yards, and too many pre-snap penalties on offense to even count. I can't remember ever seeing a team getting a delay of game on an extra/two point try.

Its more so about one insanely stubborn poster who never admits he is wrong on here, being slapped in the face with the NFL rulebook that calls him (and the refs) out for being wrong, yet still refuses to admit it. SMH.

That call was the only reason the Bears lost, and the reason they aren't going to go on an long string of victories that would have lead to a playoff appearance. It's virtually impossible to overstate just how bad that call was.

I had a dream last night watching the replay that clearly showed him tapping his toe out of bounds. No lie.

Not exactly Martin Luther King but I was inspired by it.

Good teams (or at least better prepared teams) overcome those types of calls.
