This guy needs to go.

There are no injuries on the offensive line.

There is simply a lack of talent.

This is year 6(?) of the Ryan Pace experience, and the offensive line is awful.

It’s unacceptable.

Bye bye.

Agreed. How depressing is it that this team is in need of a total rebuild and has a shit ton of money allocated to an aging defense that could barely slow down Philip Rivers?

Pace does more to squander resources than any GM in recent memory. Ignoring Mitch, he overdrafts d2 guys, treats draft picks like commodities and rarely makes wise long term decisions on big money contracts.

Virginia and the boys need to stop employing smartest guy in the room GMs.

It’s awful.

We need evaluators from top to bottom in this organization.

Pace is simply a younger Emery.

You're totally wrong on the defense. Pace built a good defense over his tenure here but set the franchise back years by whiffing on Trubinsky.

The QB situation is the perfect example.

A GM with vision could’ve waited out a Cam - or God forbid, Jameis - type situation. You end up with a competitive QB room without blowing insane money for no reason. Our guy rushes out to give 8 figures and a pick to acquire a poor man’s Joe Flacco who lost his job to Uncle Rico in hopes he’ll lose a “competition” to his overdrafted golden boy.

Did he? Mack was great for a year and a half. Hicks had a year, as did Travathean. Jackson surprised. Roquan may or may not be decent. Pernell McPhee, Amukamara, McManus and Aaron lynch were competent.

Contrast that with Jerry Angelo who built a defense that lasted around a decade.

There’s no real frugality in a league with a floor.

There is efficiency however. And after a while, a guy creates a pattern that tells you if he can or cannot manage resources effectively. After 6 years, this guy is at best a walking example of the Peter principle.

Hard to argue. Which I wouldn't anyway because Pace is a dope.

Angelo not a good contrast because he had a longer time period. Since 2018 the team has been good enough to win on defense. In 2018 we were elite and in 2019 the defense was good enough. Top 13 or so. We've completely failed on offense.

The arrogance with how he built this team will be his eventual doom. He did a great job putting together a super bowl defense. He got greedy and stupid and then tried to build an elite and dynamic offense. The only god damn thing you needed was an offensive line and the ability to run the ball consistently. Why would you want some gimmick bullshit offense that can easily result in many 3 and outs? You want your elite defense rested. Chew the clock and score 20 pts and you will win damn near every game.

They drafted significantly better after he left.

2 head coaches, even though so will call the first one some organizational/ernie accorsi hire

The rule of thumb is that you get to hire two coaches and maybe draft one QB.

He had his chance. That's all most get

It's also harder to explain away the QB miss on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky when he also misjudged heavily Glennon and Foles. There is no reason to believe he is the right guy to pick the next one.

I knew nothing about Glennon when he was signed. One look at this picture, and I was sure he wasn’t the guy.

Quinn's sole appearance on the stat sheet yesterday was his horse collar tackle/penalty.

Wow. Has Pace drafted a single offensive player who is above average at his position? Maybe Cody Whitehair?

Howard, who he got rid of.

That list is awful Frank.

Pace hasn’t taken an offensive tackle in the draft before the 6th round.

The lack of 1st round picks is shameful as well.

There is talent in the second and third rounds for sure. Pace just never finds it.

Remember how Nagy blamed Howard for the team's inability to establish a consistent running game in 2018? Howard was allegedly a "bad fit" for Nagy's system. In response, Pace jettisons Howard, signs Davis, and drafts Montgomery, both of whom turn out to be significantly worse than Howard.

Shortly after Nagy ran his smear campaign against Howard he did the same thing with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, who again was depicted as incapable of playing in Nagy's system. Pace then trades for Foles, Nagy's hand-picked replacement for (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, yet the results turn out to be no different than when (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky led the team.

Oh yeah, and let's not forget about Nagy's firing of Hiestand and some other offensive coaches after last season. Apparently they were part of the problem as well, at least according to the coach.

Nagy now has personally selected his QB, RB, and offensive assistants. Yet the Bears offense looks exactly the same as it did last year and the team once again can't score.

So what's next? I can only anticipate that Nagy will fire the waterboy and trainers next because they're a bad fit for the system, too. And the offense will still suck.

Whitehair got abused yesterday and has looked sub-par so far this season.

I'm with you TM, I just want Pace gone at this point.
