You said he's solidifying himself as a franchise quarterback. He's still sucked passing. The Bears are winning because of their defense. His only significant improvement has been sacks. He's no longer killing the offense with horrible sacks.


And when he put up 30+ points per game last year and the defense sucked people still blamed him anyway. Even when it was obvious the defense was the problem.

Get this kid a line and he is going to take off. Book it!


Outside of center he has a line now. Nearly every quarterback in the NFL would be great if everything was perfect around him. Keeping him isn't a gamble you can take when you're likely going to have the #1 pick and have to give Fields at least $40M a year.

I don't recall much of it last season either. Most people claimed that he was sacked because he held the ball too long. With that line it's virtually impossible.. To me it looked more like trying to make chicken salad out of chicken shit on most plays. Not to mention the fact that he had some of the worst "weapons" in the NFL.
