I really don't have a problem with taking Adams or Hooker at #3 and then Jabrill Peppers at #35.

That would elicit my hair on fire response.

I could see S, CB in rounds 1 and 2. However, they are so high in Rd 2, some talent "that should have been a first rounder" will fall to them and I hope they scoop it up, regardless of position (I guess Peppers would fit that definition)

The problem with Hooker AND Peppers is they both see the be the free type of safety to me rather than two different types.

Peppers played LB at times. He is a SS with coverage ability. Hooker is as pure a FS as I have seen in a long time.

Peppers, the free safety with 1 career college INT. I've been calling him a con since the fall.

Pass rushers make better corners and safeties.

I wholeheartedly agree but there is a better than 50/50 chance Garret and Thomas are gone, which leaves you with a much lower tier group of outside rushers and an arthritic inside one.

Pace has picked the physical freak type guys at #1 in his first two drafts. The guy that fits that description this year at this spot is Hooker or Lattimore.

I wish he would focus less on the "physical freak" thing and focus more on the "Playing football" part....

Wishing isn't going to change it.

Floyd ended up being a very good pick in a draft of very good picks. I think we will look at last year's draft as the building block on which the new era of Bear excellence was built.

:D

Still need a QB and head coach. Those are hard to find.

It'd be great for the Bears if they could trade down to 12 and pick up an extra 2nd and 4th or whatever.

Teams with top 5 picks want to trade down in a draft lacking elite, top tier, talent. News @ 10.

That was leaked because they themselves want to trade out of #1. Better not trade down past 5 because the Browns have their sites sets on a QB there. There is no value in trading up high, in this draft. None. Nobody wants to trade up high. The value will be moving into the late 1st to get in that 2nd tier of QBs.

You really struggle with sports that don't have Fangraphs to tell you your opinion on.

If you think this is a sellers market for top 10 picks in the 2017 NFL draft..... then, truly you are a fucking idiot.

Your post was ridiculous. First of all, it makes no fucking sense for the Browns to leak a story about trying to trade up if they were trying to trade down. GMs are all talking to eachother this week. They know what the others plans are, generally. It's hilarious that you think some tweet by a random NFL reporter is going to influence trade talks.

Second of all, the rest of your post makes it clear how little you know about what you're discussing. It's simply false to suggest higher picks don't carry a higher value. If the Browns offered the first overall pick in the draft for any pick below it, the 31 other teams would jump on it. So the higher the pick the higher the value of that pick. This would be easier to understand if you didn't have the IQ of a 6 year old.

It's all good. I'm guessing you are a low wage, low IQ worker bee. You don't understand negotiating tactics/bargaining.

Just say you don't understand and we can move on.

From the Sporting News:

Not many teams still have Allen viewed as a top-10 player because of his injury concerns, but the Bears do. Barring a major change of heart (or a trade back), Allen likely will be their pick.

You think GMs are taking their intelligence from tweets by random NFL reporters and you think I don't understand negotiating?

The general consensus now, is that Adam Schefter pushed the Warren Sapp/Myles Garret story as a favor to someone in the "Anti-Garret" camp for the Cleveland Browns. Yes, teams use all kinds of methods to push out smoke signals prior to draft day.

My experience is most Packer fans don't really have a pulse on the NFL outside of "Green Bay". To discuss anything outside "Packer mania" is like talking to Rosemary Kennedy, post lobotomy.... a big abyss of nothing.

Back to drafting medical red flags....(Kevin White), another comfort zone for Ryan Pace.

Well, I've already made it pretty clear I know more about the NFL than you do. But if you want to keep going that's fine.

Schefter trades scoops for more scoops. That's basically it. He's not altering the value of any players before the draft. Also, I'm going to ask you once again to read the original quote. It's not from Adam Schefter.

I don't think I can be any more clear on this, but I'll try considering how much trouble you have with comprehension. GMs are talking to other GMs this week about trading in the draft. A GM from one of those top 8 teams has already spoken to Cleveland's front office. They already know if Cleveland wants to trade down or trade up. A tweet from a random NFL reporter isn't changing that. I can't make it any clearer than that.

Like I said, you're lost without a Fangraphs list to regurgitate. Maybe Pro Football Focus can help you out.
