Pretty much. He talked about watching the tape and seeing how Long was a shell of his former self. He wondered aloud if the Bears should bench him or put him on IR earlier last week.

He might be the poster boy for the bizarre Phil Emery reign where the team completely bottomed out and was the laughingstock of the NFL. Olin gives you an honest evaluation of players, the only bright spot on the grab ass Holmes post game show.

I see Olin on the Comcast post game Bears show and I agree he is very good. But what strikes me the most is how calm he appears to be. It's definitely a contrast to the player that I remember breaking Fred Miller's jaw.

Met Olin and his family once in San Diego. BIG FAMILY. His mom was huge. Very nice and friendly folks. Olin is one of my favorite Bears of all time. He wasn't very big for an NFL center but used his leverage and strength at the point of attack as good as any NFL blocker ever did. Hope he eventually makes the HOF.
