hernia and labrum surgery

Out 4-6 months and will miss the Combine.

I have too many memories of the Bears drafting previously injured players in the hopes they would be a steal when they heal to keep him on my wish list at #3 any longer.

last year i kept having this problem where i'd see a nice reception over the middle and think "hey that kevin white looks pretty good" ...then i'd remember that kevin white was #13 and not #19, as that was eddie royal who just made the "professional NFL catch" that i was crowing about.

in my defense it's not like i was exactly used to seeing eddie royal out there in 2015, so seeing a "new" WR out there with a # in the teens = "that's the new kid, right?" =D

This was my guy but they cant draft somebody who is injured at 3 or in the first round at all.

If White put up the kind of numbers Cam Meredith did we would be happy with the pick. I just pretend Cam was the #1 and White was the UDFA to calm my agitation.

Everyone seems to say he will be fine but I don't like my safeties to have shoulder problems.

I would take him in the 3rd if a trade down netted multiple 3rd round picks, if that's not the case the 4th is the earliest you could justify making the pick. With pre-injured guys it feels like there's just a 50% chance the guy just never gets healthy and the pick is a waste. You have to win that coin flip just to qualify for the already abysmal hit rate on NFL draft picks.
