Really interested to see the renewal rate. 2016 they claimed over 99% ... But In my experience, last year was the first year you couldn't give away tickets.

we'll see. The Cubs claimed to have a waiting list of 10,000 people when I was able to purchase season tickets in 2002.

I personally know 3 Bears season ticket holders dropping out. And that's out here in the boondocks.

I always thought it there were games I didn't want too to to or couldn't go to I could just sell and make my money back... Last year you could score redskin game tickets for $20 on secondary market... if they suck again next year or could get worse.

Im sure over 10 years you make a nice profit.

Sell them before the season and you are getting no worse than face.

I could sell the Packers game before opening day for no worse than double face every single season. Outside the division are usually pretty easy to sell to out of towners before the season. September games move as well.

Disagree. I liked it when preseason prices were the same as regular season. That made for a bigger charitable donation write-off.

Do a lot of season ticket holders depend on selling at least 1-3 games to help offset costs? I know a few have commented how hard it has been the past few years to get rid of tickets after game 5 or 6. If people do depend on selling some of their tickets, I could see this constant increases resulting in more season ticket holders giving up tickets.

With due respect to those guys it's kind of laughable to think you can generate interest in a Bears game nowadays when you're 5-6 in. At that point they're usually 2-4 or something and generally very crappy.

The fallback, at least for me, is that I like to go to the games. I took my boys to the 49er game in a snowstorm and had a great time. I went with my wife to the Packer game in 10 degree weather and it was strangely romantic.

Their was really no need to defend the mild increase. Yes the team is a shit show but bills still have to be paid. That said it was hilarious to see Teddy shit all over himself to defend it. He would have been better off saying nothing.

Okay, I can see that weighing out. You may not make some money back on a Bears vs. Jaguars game, but you really love football so fuck it. Personally, I love a football game. I sat out when it was 0 degrees against the Vikings years back and loved every minute of it, even though the three people from my client stayed in the halls most of the game because they didn't know you had to dress for weather. If I had season tickets, I'd go to every game.
