my first one of the season. It is unreasonably good

EDGE MYLES GARRETT TEXAS A&M
QB MITCH (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky NORTH CAROLINA
S OBI MELIFONWU CONNECTICUT
WR ZAY JONES EAST CAROLINA
EDGE JORDAN WILLIS KANSAS STATE
CB MARQUEZ WHITE FLORIDA STATE
TE COLE HIKUTINI LOUISVILLE

That is two players I think will be big time pass rushers, a franchise level QB, the best player at the East West game and a hulking safety

I think somebody should be fired at Fanspeak that the default number of rounds you choose to draft is 1.

Nobody there....doing a mock draft in February...is just going to mock draft 1 round. READ A MARKET REPORT!!

The best player at the East-West Shrine Bowl was Wes Lunt - QB out of Illinois.

That's actually true, not just me being me.

The name I heard most often coming out of that week was Zay Jones.

One of the Sun Times writers made a prediction before the season started that Wes Lunt would be drafted and have an NFL career

The Pitt QB coming out would be a decent lower round gamble. It is possible he grows into a Flacco type.

People are talking about him like he is a second rounder, which I think is crazy

I watched all his games and I do not think he is.

I'm a fan of drafting a QB in the 1st or 2nd and than drafting a guy like Peterman if he's there in the 3rd or 4th. Or take Peterman this year and then if you are positioned to take a good QB high next year do that as well.

What I'm saying is position two young QB's with really decent ceilings on this roster. Not bullshit like David Fales either. Promise them nothing either. Just that the best QB will start. Throw bodies at this thing.

I'm tired of the linear plan of Draft QB A, build around him, hope he's good, and then find out he's not and start over.

Strong Genes.

We can thank DNA for our various proclivities.

Hunt. Gather. Procreate.

Somewhere in the chain is an enzyme or a telomere length that draws us to Peterman.

Example A: The bartender in Red Hook with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and the skinniest black tie I’ve ever seen.

Example B: The professor of horticulture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Even those with no interest in dirt-digging sign up.

Example C: The businessman from Edinburgh in the tweed jacket and wool tie. Always meticulous. Never a wrinkle or a fleck of lint in sight.

Diverse backgrounds. Varied levels of attention to detail.

The code is strong. Thank the maker.

Nathan Peterman (No. 4). 100% drop back passer in a pro-style check-down offense. Flat felled pass finishes. Button-down playbook learner. Mitered strong arm with single-speed scrambling. Team leader with corner locker and extra Bengay. Made in Portugal.

Affirmed on Zay Jones there & at the Senior Bowl.

I really didn't see a QB worth pinning any hopes on at either game

Obi and Willis probably won't be there as well.

Obi is 6'4", 219 as a safety and he played some corner at the Senior Bowl. He's expected to run a sub 4.5

They're fun, but not very realistic -

3: R1P3
EDGE MYLES GARRETT
TEXAS A&M
36: R2P4
TE DAVID NJOKU
MIAMI
67: R3P3
S OBI MELIFONWU
CONNECTICUT
109: R4P4
QB NATHAN PETERMAN
PITTSBURGH
115: R4P10
OT DION DAWKINS

148: R5P3
EDGE CARROLL PHILLIPS
ILLINOIS
224: R7P3
QB CHAD KELLY
MISSISSIPPI

I am a fan of grabbing Kelly with a late-round pick, though. Even if you get a QB early or trade for Marco Polo.

RD2 #36 QB Deshone Kizer (Notre Dame)

RD3 #67 WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (USC)

RD4 #109 Edge Jordan Willis (Kansas State)

RD4 #115 TE Cole Hikutini (Louisville)

RD5 #148 WR Malachi Dupree (LSU)

RD7 #224 S Montae Nicholson (Michigan State)

Would obviously be a helluva draft with those 1st few picks, so I agree its not a very realistic sim. But what it does do is get you reading/watching video and looking at players to do some research (I did anyway) -so it gets you familiar with a lot of the players out there coming in. Pretty cool tool in that way.

My 1st one of these, thanks for posting the link Dr. Ken

All you had to do was post the link.

It's like talking to my kids. Just go the extra step. It would take 1 minute.

Here we go - no chance at this -

I think there's zero chance (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is there in the 2nd. I don't think he makes it past the top 12-14. Someone will reach.
