They'll draft the weapons next year. Bears really didnt give up much.

There are some secondary guys with size you might be able to get in the 3rd or 4th.

People are still failing to show me proof of the year-in year-out success of players drafted in the 3rd round that make those picks so incredibly valuable.

No, my position is the vast majority of players drafted in the 3rd round aren't anything special. The odds of the Bears selecting one of those kinds of players with either of those two 3rd rounders that they traded away are very small and should not be cause for major concern.

If the Bears gave up a 1st rounder or 2nd rounder in 2018 I would be upset, but they didn't so I dont mind. The price they paid really wasn't too dear.

Of the 260 players drafted in the 3rd and 4th rounds since 1998, 26 have been selected to multiple pro-bowls.

30 multiple Pro Bowlers of 266 selected in the 1st and 2nd rounds in the same time frame.

Of course Pro Bowl selections is probably a valuation metric worse off than W/L% for pitchers, but that's the best I could do on short notice.

Your math is way off.

Roughly 70 players are drafted in the 3rd and 4th round every year. Going back 19 years means roughly 1,330 players drafted in those rounds. Way more than the 260 you claim. This kind of blatant factual inaccuracy invalidates any point you could possibly be trying to make.
