Peeps.....seriously......going into this draft did you think a major Bears need was TE?

Absolutely

Adam Shaheen, TE, Ashland
Height: 6-6. Weight: 278. Arm: 33.5. Hand: 9.63.
40 Time: 4.79.
Projected Round (2017): 2-4.

4/25/17: Sources say that Shaheen is a freak athlete who has a ton of upside for the NFL. Shaheen is impressive in workouts, and team sources say that his tape showed serious receiving ability for the next level. Even though he is tall and thick, Shaheen has surprising speed and athleticism for such a big tight end. Teams think that Shaheen could be a versatile tight end to create mismatches in the passing game.

Shaheen caught 57 passes for 867 yards with 16 touchdowns in 2016. The previous season, he had 70 receptions for 803 yards and 10 touchdowns. Some team sources even compared Shaheen to Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski.

The Bears are full of holes, why aren't they taking the best player?

Detail's of Pace's 2nd round trade. Looks to me he got good value.

"In their trade, the Bears dealt their second-rounder (No. 36 overall) and seventh-rounder (221) to the Cardinals in exchange for second-round (No. 45), fourth-round (No. 119) and sixth-round (No. 197) picks. They also acquired a 2018 fourth-round pick."

And it wasn't just Pace that was all-in on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. It was George McCaskey, too, that they both decided a month ago to do this.

So if (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is a bust, along with Pace being fired, McCaskey will have to sell the team. Bears fans win either way.

He can contribute from day 1. He just isn't a great blocker.

This is being based off of him looking great in Div II?

I'm not buying in until I see it.

You're going to really hate when they take Lorenzo Jerome in the 4th.

Well I already hate what they're doing now, so why not continue the streak lol?

Seems he got some of his picks back. Hang him pace sucks (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky sucks.

I think he really misjudged value with this pick. There were a lot of good, starting level db on the board even after the trade down. Now
They are all gone while
Plenty of te talent remains

Shaheen might end up being as unique as engram at the position in this draft. I just think it would have been a better move to scoop up a db

I'm looking at some instant analysis, and generally everyone agrees the dude has a lot of talent and upside. All the criticisms are of team need. Like this piece:

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2017- ... d-2-picks/

It's very short but they like the kid, just said they had bigger needs, so they gave them a C-. The Bears are a rebuilding team and need a ton of stuff. If they got a really good TE it was a great pick.

I think Shaheen has the potential to be a better TE than the DBs left would at their position.

Bears need players. Maybe if they hadn't traded down.

Did Evans go after that or before. I did like him.

The Bears are losing.

I'm just going to go ahead and take a victory lap. Big 2nd half here - (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to Shaheen.

Ju Ju Smith Schuster would have been better pick.

We have Kevin White.

That's like an extra 1st round pick.
