Mannelly on the Score right now and said Glennon was at a draft part last night. He was told Glennon was "visibly shocked" when (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was picked.

This is going to be very interesting.

Well the complaints that the Bears were just handing the keys to a backup aren't valid anymore. Glennon will have to earn the right to see the field, as it should be.

"In regards to Mike Glennon, Mike Glennon is our starting quarterback. There’s no quarterback competition when Mitch gets here. Glennon is our starting quarterback. " Ryan Pace

It was funny reading back through the first Glennon thread and seeing how many people applauded the move because this year's quarterback class was so awful.

Barring injury (or trade), there is NO FUCKING CHANCE that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky starts Game 1. None.

Good. I'd rather have player with a chip on his shoulder vs a "comfortable player".

If Glennon winds up being a truly great QB, which is extremely unlikely but not impossible, the Bears will have a trade chip to rule them all with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. That is provided (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky doesn't rape anyone or hurt himself skydiving.

There is a weird dynamic that enables QB's to just gain value sitting on the bench as long as they show momentary flashes every once and a while. The Bears could have traded two firsts, including #3, plus another pick or two for Jimmy fucking Garappollo and people would've been OK with it! If Glennon is making pro bowls and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is wallowing on the bench someone will eventually come along willing to sell the farm to get a crack at the #2 overall pick. Its bizarre, but its just how the league works.

No they wouldn't. Surely you have read enough of Bear fans around here to know how comical this statement is.

People would have went apeshit if they did that
