The question was whether White is the biggest Bears bust ever. He might be, but it's semantics. They have 4 or 5 other guys in the last decade alone who are so close that it's not even worth debating.

Given the lack of games played, the lack of productivity in those games and how high a pick he was, he is hands down the biggest bust in Bears draft history.

Its silly to write off Floyd, though his career will be over by the end of the year if he hasn't learned to keep his fucking head up. Fuller is either figuring things out now or having his dead cat bounce 4 years into his career, he's looked OK. He seemed destined to be cut until camp, then suddenly the narrative on him changed. Maybe, just maybe, he'll be an average player.

I dont know, the busts dont even bother me much anymore. What drives me crazy is their inability to find any great players. I mean, currently on the roster who is really great? Probably just Whitehair. A center. They have a surprising number of good players (DL, LB, OL, RB), but nobody great. They haven't had anyone great for a long time, since all those Lovie guys on defense starting getting old/retiring.

They do not have enough (or any, really) defensive playmakers to make this run/defense identity work.

Yeah any list of "biggest Bears bust" has to start with Mirer and McNown at the top.

Benson was a shithead on the Bears, but actually had somewhat of an OK career.

Why are people mentioning Mirer here? Dude wasn't drafted by the Bears, was in the league for roughly 4 years or so before coming to the Bears and he wasn't really any good for the Seahawks before coming here.

On topic: I'll go ahead and drop Rashaan Salaam's name here. He wasn't a super high pick, but was a 1st rounder who won the Heisman.

Also, Rex Grossman straddles the bust line too imo, along with Michael Haynes who was drafted the same year.

Oh, and David Terrell deserves a mention here too.

Kevin White would kill to have the Bears career of David Terrell.

I wrote Floyd off before the draft, I hope he proves me wrong.. I just don't see it.

The biggest problem is taking reaches at premium draft slots.. Jamal Adams was perfect for this year..Laremy Tunsil last year. Pace is a dunce.

What they did this year is the best thing the Bears have done in the draft since probably Urlacher. If things go like I think they will you'll have to go back to Walter to find a better pick.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky can make every problem just vanish away. How many shitty white WR's have Brady, Rodgers, Manning, Brees (well, shitty black receivers too!) etc. turned into stars? The world is littered with discarded Brandon Stokely's and Wes Welker's who carved remarkable careers out of unremarkable talent by just being adequate. I think Deonte Thompson, Kendall Wright and Dion Sims can be at least mediocre, and great QB play will elevate mediocre WR's into being pretty good.

Hard to top Cedric Benson in my book. Yeah, White has had an Odenesque career, but Benson was often hurt, often bad, and begged out of the Super Bowl.

So many turds to choose from. But I'm going with Cade McNown. What a bitch that guy was.

If you'll recall (may be a bit before your time), he also bitched out in his first training camp by saying that the other players were out to get him and hit him too hard.

Yeah, I was out of the loop on anything outside the Cubs in '03 but that doesn't surprise me at all.

With everything you said being true, he still caught 5 more passes during his 3 years with the bears than White.

Kevin whites career totals 21 catches 191 yards 0 tds

His best game he converted 14 targets to 6 catches and 63 yards.

Kareem hunt had more ffl points in his debut than white totals in 3 years.

Floyd didn't show any progress from last season at all in today's game -but I'm not ready to take it to bust status yet with him. Unlike White, Floyd has at least flashed. I say give this some more time.

Where the hell was our 2nd round pick in this game tho? Shaheen needs to pan out. Pace needs to hit on way more picks than he has now in 3 years. Cohen, Howard and Whitehair are nice. But that can't be it. You can't get into your 1st game of the season and not have one of your 1st two picks out there ready to play. There's been too much of that from Paces drafts.

Floyd is all speed, no strength.. He's not even beefy enough to last 16 weeks. I don't like (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky either, we needed Jamal Adams.

312, you're my guy so I wanna help you out. Get off the "Floyd is a bust" train at the next available stop. Leonard Floyd is already a good player right now and he barely knows how to play football yet. His ceiling is HOF caliber. Most likely he will settle into just being a very good player though. In no way is he a bust candidate outside of injury

Hell, Gaines Adams died.

What? I'm a bit drunk right now and catching up on this thread, but are you guys all for real? Leonard Floyd is good. He should only get better. Stop saying crazy shit and confusing me.

I think its because of where he was drafted. He was a reach pick for sure, like Kyle Long. That is not the player's fault though, and both of those guys are good players with Floyd having the real potential to be great if he stops getting concussed.

Mark Columbo? Had himself a nice little run in Dallas after he got out of town.

I'm not going back through 4 pages, but has anyone mentioned Curtis Enis yet?

Columbo was also a LATE 1st round pick. He's not even in the team picture for biggest bust ever.

Benson, Enis, they showed some flashes, even for brief periods as a Chicago Bear. Kevin White is going to leave Chicago without contributing a damn single thing on the football field. Easily the biggest bust ever.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky will blow White away if he doesn't become a Flacco or Dalton at the very least.

I guess people didn't like Floyd covering the fastest player on the field Sunday stride for stride and breaking up a pass with CB level skill...or him stuffing a runner for a loss...or his seven sacks in 12 games.

This just goes to show that the Bears need to fire Ryan Pace and John Fox.
