I guess you could say if the Bears lacked anything on their front 7 it was a lightning quick 300 lb gap shooter. I think that's kind of what we thought Bullard would be, but Bullard's development has taken a different turn. Not saying Bullard is bad, because he's not, but he's much more of a standard 5T than the rocket sled he was projected as.

Nichols also made a lights-out read on a screen play this game that would've been impressive for anyone, let alone a rookie. When you have a guy who has displayed that kind of penetration ability but has the discipline to stay home on a screen? Look out.

If I remember correctly, his draft guide stated that he had almost no pass rush but was pretty good at holding the line on running downs. However, he has looked pretty good at attacking on passing downs going all the way back to the preseason
