Stevens has looked good to me. Obviously blocking is the primary directive of a fullback and I have not seen enough to judge. If he has that down, he looks like the kind of guy who could provide offensive production from the position. Nice hands and sophisticated post catch ability.

I think they said in the Bears preseason game that it is a trend because defenses are concentrating more on speed and not size.
