I have to say I am intrigued by the idea of Lamar Jackson, but I have no idea where his stock will be in six months and how that relates to the Bears.

I agree that sliding Leno Jr. (who has been decent) to RT and finding a stud LT would probably do as much good as drafting a WR.

Leno cannot play RT for some reason

Gonna be difficult for them to finish with a top 5 draft pick. Obviously it mostly comes down to the Browns and 49er games but I don't think the Giants will win another game and I have my doubts about the Colts and Broncos winning another one.

Bears aren't winning another game. 3-13 is gonna be a top 5 pick.

I would say they are a near lock for top 5 pick and have to be neck-and-neck with Giants for #2 overall. All it takes is the Browns winning one game for the Bears to be "one game away" from 1.1.

This isn't really a good thing but its something to root for I guess.

If the Browns win today the Bears are still two games away.

If the Browns would today I would be willing to bet the Bears pass them. The Giants are still a wildcard though, but if they really fire McAdoo tonight they may rally.

There is no LT worth taking very high.

I'm guessing they would go for Calvin Ridley to give Mitch somebody to throw to.

As always, I reserve the right to change my mind dozens of times.

Best case scenario is they get a top 4 pick and then will easily be able to trade down.

The draft sets up as a shitfest for the Bears in the high 1st round in terms of actually picking a guy. Great for a trade, potentially.

It doesn't seem like the 49ers lowered their SOS enough to move them past the Broncos or Colts, so they'll remain at #6. But those two play each other week after next and they're definitely going to creep up.

If the Bears get a top two pick, I am coming to the conclusion that they should draft either Darnold or Rosen. I expect those two will go 1-2. We know they will not have #1. I think even with Kizer, the Browns will draft a QB.

If they are not in a position to draft either of those two they need to leverage that pick for a team who will foolishly want Allen.

OK, have at me.

I agree. If it lights a fire under Mitch's ass and he takes off then they can trade Darnold/Rosen next offseason for a monster haul. If not then they wont waste a minute moving on from (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.

Here is my boner scenario.

Bears get #2 and draft Darnold (Rosen gets drafted by Browns).

They trade (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to either Denver or Giants for a #1.

They draft Chubb with that pick.

I know some will say it is crazy that someone would trade a #1 for (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. He is today and was last year a better QB than Allen, who will be a top ten pick. I think he would be a star in Denver.

I think they should take QBs with every single pick this draft. They need the added insurance if Mitch isn't the guy. It's the most important position in all of sports after all and you need to hit on one to have a chance to win in today's NFL.

and I agree that Chubb can be the steal of the draft but I think the rest of the league is going to catch up to the idea. he might be a better pure runner than Barkley.

I mean NCST Chubb not UGA.

UGA has not been the same guy since his injury

Jarvis Landry, Davante Adams and Sammy Watkins all are FA. This is probably the route (pun intended) they will go. Not enough draft picks to go around.

Davante is off the market now.

Just a LOL overreaction. Can't think of another worthy reply to this.

I find that America and I tend to disagree a decent amount -but he has a point. This is a really really bad team.

We can bump this at the end of the year. I don't know if I could ever be more confident in anything more than saying the Bears aren't the worst team in the NFL this year. I think this is a prime example of responding to a local team without proper knowledge of the rest of the country's teams.

This comment might apply as much to you as it does to us lol
