I knew he sucked but I was thrilled to have Cutty gone.

That's what people say about (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky now. In fact, that's what you say.

I'd rather have someone who completes passes over someone whose throws are so bad no defender or receiver can reel them in.

I beg to differ:

Glennon, 27, threw all of 11 passes in the past two seasons, as 2015 No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston has been excellent and durable as the team's starter. Winston is now the face of the organization, leaving Glennon as nothing more than a backup.

He was once thought to be the future of the franchise himself after being a third-round pick in the 2013 NFL draft. But in 19 games in the 2013-14 seasons, he never quite seized the position, throwing for 4,025 yards, 29 touchdowns and 15 interceptions while completing just 58.8 percent of his passes.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/262 ... 20contract

This is why MANY criticized the deal at the time. He was garbage.

The signing was cover in case he didn't get the quarterback he desperately wanted, but then he went ahead and traded up one spot to make sure he got the quarterback he desperately wanted making the whole signing pointless. This was after he barely talked to ANY of the rookie quarterbacks including (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. It's more about the entire story of the gross incompetence that went on with that draft.

To be clear here, are you saying Mike Glennon is better than Mitch?

They both don't add value as starters and suck.

So your take is that after the top... what 12? .... starting QBs they are all the same?

Your Eli love makes a little more sense now.

I loved Eli over (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is a bottom third QB, I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. He's not starting-caliber, nor is Glennon.

Eli's so bad he's out of the league. Glennon's on like his 5th backup job the last 3 years now. Mitch is significantly better than either one at this stage and to suggest otherwise is simply ignoring reality. Like arguing 2 + 2 = 5.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is on his rookie contract. Their career timelines and contract types prevent any real comparison.

Eli and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky were both bottom third QBs season. As (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is entering his what...4th season?... you hold out hope he can become a middle of the road QB. Even if it is unlikely.

The Bears organization has always been enamored with bridge QB's.

Arguing that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is better than Glennon is like saying it's better to be 20-62 than it is to be 15-67. Either way both suck and there's nothing to be gained from that comparison.

My position on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has been clear: he sucks and isn't a starter. It's not clear what your position is other than to say he's better than people I wanted to replace him (Manning, Winston, etc.).

Mitch went 12-4 and 8-7 the last two years. Try harder on the analogy

You're better than this. Don't tell me with a straight face that the reason the Bears went 12-4 in 2018 was because of Mitchell Trubinsky. That top tier defense just rode his coattails to that record, right? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt by just assuming you're not being serious.

Mitch played well that year, especially in crunch time moments. He's not the reason they went 12-4 but they don't go 12-4 with Eli or Glennon that year either

This is S tier trolling by FF, some kind of weird meta game. I wont play it, but there are many who will swarm like moths to a flame. Eventually the Hawk will see this and deliver an eight-hundred word defense of the shitty mediocre quarterback.

I like Mitch. He's a winner. Wouldn't mind seeing him in GB competing with Jordan Love in 2021

Rodgers needs one more SB before he rides off into the sunset... to play for the Raiders or something.

Good call, I keep getting reeled into his Trubinksy trolling like clockwork.

At least I was onto this guy from the start. Perhaps that made me more susceptible.

The Bears are awful, man....7-9 at best. I don't see the Packers going 12-4, but I'd bet they're at least 8-8. funny things always happen in the NFL, so however they land.....the Bears will have a worse record than the Packers.

Another season of misery for us Bears fans.
