I miss read the on offense part so if you look at that

Brad Childress Miss
Pat Shurmur, Undecided, will get another job this year
Doug Pederson Hit

One miss, one undecided and one hit. That does nothing to disqualify me on Nagy.

The Andy Reid tree on offense has 1 hit.

Not accurate

Brad Childress Miss
John Harbaugh Hit
Steve Spagnuolo Miss
Leslie Frazier Miss
Ron Rivera, Hit
Pat Shurmur, Undecided, will get another job this year
Todd Bowles, Undecided...
Doug Pederson Hit
Sean McDermott Undecided...

Shurmur failed once and has the makings of Cremnel in New England. Marty Mornhinweg is also on that tree. For a GREAT offensive mind I would expect more.

Mornhinweg is under the Holgrem tree, was a peer of Reid's in San Fran, got the Lions HC, and then after he was fired went to work for Reid in Philly but never got another HC gig.

I always thought Chilly got a bum rap. Yes, his last season with the Vikings wasn't very good. But the year before, he was within reach of the Superbowl, had Favre not thrown the bad interception and ended it. He was 1st in the NFC North twice out of five years. That's a lot better than coaches in Chicago have done the last 10 years.

In the final year, Favre's skills were clearly diminished and he was playing his age, no longer like superman. Not really Chidress' fault.

Apparently, he has done well under Reid to be promoted to Asst. Head Coach.

Then have him hire a good OC and QB coach.

I agree. The offense/defense thing doesn't matter much to me. Get a guy who knows how to build a staff and that will take care of itself.

Matt Patricia? no thanks. as for the patriots OC..,? i seem to recall he went down in flames bad in denver... does that just get wiped away from consideration because he coordinates a brady offense effectively?

Bears are also interviewing George Edwards

Reading the tea-leaves...I think this is a pure Rooney rule requirement and a signal they will pounce on one of Schurmer/DelPhillipo/McDaniels this weekend. Wilks won't be available till next weekend for interview.

Regardless....this will continue to be a shitshow. This team from the top on down is a joke.

Ted Phillips is clearly acting as a GM and has his hands in football decisions.
Ryan Pace's drafting record has to date shown to be no better than average.
Ryan Pace's Free Agency record has more misses than hits.

My Bears and NFL investment is at an all time low.

How are the Bears' practice facilities/game day facilities compared to other teams? Are they way behind on that stuff, too?

Why would Edwards just be a rooney rule deal when they already have wilks scheduled to interview?

Can't interview Wilks till next weekend. If they are blown away with a candidate this weekend, it allows them to be aggressive and get their guy locked up having satisfied the "rule" with Edwards instead of having to wait on Wilks.

Doesn't sound like the Bears to me. I think they would rather spend some time thinking about a decision and wait until most of their candidates are gone and hire the guy no one else wanted.

Ryan Pace says the bears are embarking on a Halas Hall renovation/expansion that will place their training facilities among the best in the NFL. I guess that means they're not that great right now? I'm not sure when the construction is scheduled to be completed.

this process really screws AC's who are on teams who are alive in the playoffs... the league should not allow the process to begin until a few days after the superbowl

Given the rash of injuries the Bears constantly have, I'm not surprised their facilities are shit. Also, given that the McCaskey's wouldn't give a nickel to an orphan on a street corner, it doesn't surprise me that the facilities are shit.

Bears interviewed fangio for hc position today. Per bears Twitter. likely done to appease fans.... But fangio didn't have to do the interview so he may be interested?

It's quite possible that through some back channeling a candidate such as Shurmur or McDaniels has indicated he would like to retain Fangio as defensive coordinator should they take the Bears job so the interview with Vic today was just cover to discuss this possibility and gauge his interest.

Bob,

Your 2018 has started off fantastically.

Your posts in the last page have made more salient points then at all of your other posts combined during your career here. And your olive branch to Frank was awesome.

Major kudos also for taking the time and explaining the Rooney Rule interview with Edwards to the other board members.

Big things are on the horizon for you in 2018 Bob. Keep up the great work.

Sincerely,
Management

Thank you. I discussed this with Leash this summer, I don't believe in the negativity around here. I think we are going to make this place great again. Dilly Dilly.

The #Dolphins are naming Dowell Loggains as their new offensive coordinator, source said. Big hire.

Former OC Clyde Christensen likely to remain with the team and transition to another role.
