Bears currently have the #9 draft pick. The Bengals winning helped out.

Get a qb with a first round grade.

To not get a top 5 pick after another dismal season is so Bears. We may not even get a top 10 pick if MINN plays their scrubs.

STUPID.

#9 pick? I was told by almost everyone here they would have the first overall pick this year.

Great point. They definitely overachieved.

They somehow got a win against one of the NFL's best teams early in the year.

Meh, tallest midget. This is still one of the worst teams in the NFL right now from top to bottom.

I think most people had them as a bottom 10 team and almost nobody outside this board had them as the worst team. I just enjoy the hyperbole thrown around during the season.

They also went 4-0 against the AFC north which is sending the top wildcard in the afc. This shit team beat 13, 11 and 10 win teams going to the playoffs.

Here is my out of the box and out of my mind thought if the picking goes correctly:

Trade Howard for a first rounder and draft Saqaun Barkley.

I would definitely take a qb in one of the first three rounds.

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Is that valuing Howard a bit high? Especially after watching almost every RB in the first 3 rounds hit, why would you trade a first for primarily run-first RB.

You'd have to package the #9 and whatever you got for Howard to move up to get Barkley. Terrible idea.

Agreed, bears are set at RB for another year or 2. Hold tight at 9 and take the best WR you can get. Sign another WR or 2 in the off season. You can't go into next year with Kevin White and Cameron Meredith being anything more than your 3rd or 4th WRs.

The other side of that is that they went 1-10 against the NFC and 0-5 against the division. They won the games that mattered least.

I don't think you can go into next season expecting Kevin White to be anything more than a scout team level player. They need OL and Wrs.

the only person in chicago that benefitted from beating the browns was Ryan Pace... because that would have brought out the pitchforks to clear house again.... but that browns win cost at least 3 or 4 draft spots.

At 9, I want the best player available at either LT or CB.

they could fall all the way to #12 by beating Minn's backups on sunday. best they could hope for is lose and have jets, broncos, 49ers all win... then they would draft 6... that stupid browns win dropped the bear from #6 to #9

I don't understand why the Bears are below a team that beat them. (49ers)

does it matter where they pick in 1st round. it's not like whoever they pick will be any good.

me neither, but nfl tiebreaker for draft order is strength of schedule not H2H

Pace is elite at picking running backs. Just get another one of those in the first round.

Then trade him to move up in the 2nd round.

Need the 49ers and Broncos to win to help this out.
