Very nice hire. It seems like ND has been producing multiple NFL lineman every year he has coached. Used to coach OL for the Bear and Kruetz thought he was a great.

Good hire. He certainly will be able to give a full accounting of the two ND OL who are possibilities at #8. On the other hand, isn't that we said about Carimi?

Looks like Quentin Nelson to the Bears @ #8. Sing the fucking song, Dolphin!

From Peter King:

And the third of the top-three overall prospects is a guard. That’s right, a guard. Notre Dame’s Quenton Nelson is probably the most agreed upon prospect that I’ve discussed with scouts. When I told an exec last week that I’d probably write that Nelson was “maybe a better guard prospect than ex-teammate Zack Martin,” he told me to take the “maybe” out of there. In 2014, Martin, you may remember, became the first rookie linemen to make first-team All-Pro in 57 years. I had Nelson going fifth in my mock.

Martin played LT(in College) if memory serves correctly. We saw what happened a few years ago with Warmack and Cooper, when teams get all giddy about guards.

OG seems like a very high pick at 5. I think at the very least QB Rosen, Darnold and Allen, at RB Barkley and DL Chubb all go before Nelson.

OG seems high even at 8

I like where all of this seems to be going.

He may be the best guard prospect, ever.

If they draft a guard with their needs at WR, T, DB, WR, TE, WR, WR, WR, OLB and WR I'm think I'm gonna be a little upset.

Great hire. The last time he was here, OLine was one of the strongest areas of the team. Ruben Brown, Fred Miller, and John Tait were thought to be on their way out of the league, and he was able to get a lot out of them. Hell, he even made OLine a strength with Josh Beekman starting.

Top 3 OL coach in the NFL. This is HUGE. I'm seeing all the ingredients to a GREAT offensive staff. We just gotta get some better receivers.
