Here is what I'll try explain to you Seachest... so read slowly please.

The Bears had already spent more than 28 other teams in the league on WR's before the Bryant hit the market today.

Positions and their respective costs are slotted in the NFL.

They have a number they could live with and that doesn't include Bryant.

As I understand it, there is an enforced "Hard cap" at every single position in the NFL.

I've always hated the fact that the first thing I think about with him was his being grilled in pretty draft interviews about whether or not his mother was a prostitute or lesbian.

I lost respect for the NFL that year.
