But Fields against Indiana looked a lot like Dwayne Haskins against Purdue a few years before. Indiana got a lot of hype but they weren't that outstanding. Justin Fields will certainly be facing much better defenses in the pros and he won't have Ohio State's usual advantage at the skill positions over B1G defenders working for him any more.

For what its worth I think Justin Fields is a fine gamble for what the Bears gave up. I just don't see the surefire elite quarterback that everyone else assumes the Bears have.

I didn't really like Mike Glennon but I did like the idea behind the signing. It was smart. Same goes for the Nick Foles move which was low-risk. I have resolved to learn from Mitchell (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and not buy the hype on young Bears quarterbacks ever again. I remember the pre-season game when everyone got convinced that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was what we all were waiting for.

A lot of hype about Fields, but there some disconcerting things this offseason. First of all, Nagy is going to be calling plays again, we all know how that went with another young QB. Second, Nagy continues to be pretty condescending whenever asked about the lack of running attempts, says stupid crap like, "We know we have to do better". The time for excuses is over this offense has been bottom 5 in the league for years under his leadership.

There is a very real possibility that Nagy/Pace will screw this up like they did with Mitch.

If Fields isn't starting by week 3 I'll be stunned, Andy sucks. Never should have signed this goof. I'm more concerned about the secondary, Johnson has 4 or 5 shoulder surgeries under his belt and he's our #1 cb. He'll be lucky to start 12 games.
