The tibial plateau fracture likely ended his career, not sure if he had to have it surgically repaired, but that along with surgical repair to his ACL and MCL would make it difficult to regain the quickness and explosiveness he had before the surgery. There would also possible be a slight change in the angle of his knee which, along with the corresponding soft tissue injuries created by the force necessary create a break in the tibia would ever so slightly change the demands placed on the inferior anatomy as well, opening up an avenue for an Achillies tear.

However, 6 months of rehab may give the knee a better chance to heal, but regaining his baseline function will be difficult at best.
