Elisha Manning probably deserves his own category or be made an honorary Flacco.

Isn't Eli pretty much a lock for the HOF?

Because of his two Flaccos and his last name, yes, he’ll be in the HoF.

Otherwise he’s almost the definition of average.

So I would say he fits in the category of HOF QB pretty well.

I’ll take category 3 today and concede on category 2 whenever Archie arranges his induction.

Manning's SB heroics were awesome because you didn't expect them. Deep down his bro probably can't believe that he has as many rings as his dopey goofy kid brother.

Do I have to add a Tom Brady section for the next 10 years too?

No, please don’t.

I’ll revise my earlier answer to say Elisha will probably be in the hall of fame on account of his two Flaccos/last name to avoid further confusion.

Eli Manning won an NFL title game in Lambeau, a Division Round game against a 15-1 Packers squad in Lambeau, and two Super Bowls against the undisputed greatest quarterback of all time. He also has 57.000 yards and 366 TD (more than Montana and Elway) passes in his career.

We're going to say that isn't HOF worthy?

Possibly (were he not named Manning).

Counter argument is:

- Never an all pro
- 4 pro bowls in 16 years, 2 of which as an alternate
- Packers/Rodgers suck at home in the playoffs
- Never led the league in any meaningful statistical category aside from INTs
- Career record of .500
- Counting stats are good but put him behind 8 or 9 contemporaries
- Per pass stats (yds, TDs, etc.) are mediocre

LOL yeah that packers thing is going to really weigh down the HOF decision making.

The facts take us to Eli winning 2 super bowls with a team that identifies as New York. He's going into the Hall of Fame regardless of his last name.

And it doesn't hurt they were both against Brady and the Patriots. The fact that it bothers Brady so much makes it that much sweeter.

That Bob Griese comparison certainly doesn't help his cause.

Griese has a gold jacket, I would say it does.

I'm not saying nor insinuating that Eli Manning is a top five or seven all time QB, but if you want to keep him out of Canton then Brees, Brady, and Rodgers are the only QBs you're gonna see inducted for a long time.

I’ve always thought of Eli as John Hadl with a better pedigree.

I wouldn't put Eli in, he had one very good season 35 tds and 15 int.

08 super bowl he had 2 tds and a pick..two fumbles..scored 17 points

12 super bowl

21 points..he threw one td no picks

What an imbecile. Comparing stats from different eras. Almost as bad as Caller Cuck

  That’s a helluva pull! If Hadl played in New York and actually was mostly along for the ride to a title, they’d have had this same conversation a half century ago.

There are a lot of valid reasons to argue that his stats alone aren’t worthy of HOF consideration. He was never great for an extended period of time, never in the top handful or even consistently in the top 10 of qbs during his career. I’m a bigtime fan of the team and even I can understand that. But to use those two Super Bowl runs AGAINST him is laughable. He was a huge part of both of those playoff runs, and in particular to say he was a passenger on the 2011 team is hilariously ignorant.

His longevity, durability and counting stats PLUS the Super Bowl heroics make him a slam dunk, arguing otherwise is silly.
