Best player in this draft. Any trade down cannot result in us losing the ability to draft him

Would you take Micah Parsons #1?

I was in agreement back in August, but he was making a ton of mental errors before scheming by coaches started getting to him and the defense in total. There just isn’t a no doubt number one now imho

Why do you say he undersized, the man is 6'5" and weighs 245lbs. I have not heard anyone else say this.

It is all about positioning himself for whatever happens. If he is a bust bob can gloat he didnt want him. If he is great then bob will say he was on him from the start.

Rinse and repeat.

He's probably better suited for a 3-4 than he is being a hands on the ground DE in a 4-3. That and his ability to bend like a Bradley Chubb are the only issues I have with him. Those aren't major.

Both are legit prospects -but Will has the production to back up his projections where as Carter does not. Carter isn’t an every down type of player. On the flip side Carter most likely fits our scheme better. But I’d go with Anderson.

In any event, both are wrong -the Bears need to trade back most likely twice to maximize their draft potential while staying in reach of one of the top 2 receivers. Then go after O-line after that. They need to build around their QB. Period.

Bottom line? Priority #1 in this draft should be maximizing the amount of picks you have early with building around the QB in mind.

Bob mentioning his ceiling/floor comparison is fair tho. All the scouts do the same thing.

As I’ve said , my top priority in free agency is the interior dl.

Do you take Peter Skoronski with your first pick if you're in the 8-10 range?

That's undersized for a 4-3 DE. Hey I wish they would ditch this garbage Tampa 2

I hope someone doesn't try and play him in a 4-3 defense in the NFL, he is an OLB.

Correct. So thanks for admitting I was right.

I threw out a Parsons comp because they are of similar size, but Quinn plays him all over the place. The Bears however are married to an archaic defense that hasn't been relevant in 15 years

It depends on what picks they have behind that.. but I’d look at Johnston or Addison at WR with that 1st pick depending on where they’re at in the draft. The problem with this receiver class is that it drops off significantly after the best 3-4 guys. So I’d address WR 1st personally.. that said if the Bears are up higher and can’t find anyone to give up a good haul to stay in range on those wide outs I’d most likely just grab Carter or Anderson.

It just depends on how it all shakes out really

I agree with this. They also need to prioritize a good O-lineman and good veteran WR too tho.

I also don't consider him undersized as a 4-3 defensive end in College.

Myles Murphy looks like a far better DT prospect than Jalen Carter and Myles Murphy plays DE.

D-Linemen Projected to go Early:
Will Anderson
Myles Murphy
Tyree Wilson
Jalen Carter
Bryan Bresee

The Bears haven't had a viable five man offensive line since probably the 2006 era team. We're going on almost 20 years running UDFAs and 7th round picks out there to block.

Let's build a viable OL. Trade back position yourself for the best OL available.

Really depends on far Poles is willing to trade down, he will undoubtedly get calls at #4 because there still will be one of the top 3 QB's on the board.

Would love to sign Payne or Davenport, you pair one of those guys with one of the top young dudes and you have significantly upgraded your D line for the next 5 years.

There is some speculation that Will Anderson may run a 4.4 40 at the combine, really hard to pass up a guy like that, he's gonna be a disruptive force from day one.
