You shouldn't be disappointed with anything if he is the best player on the board with the exception of QB for obvious reasons. you can NEVER have too many good corners. Corners and O-linemen. Drafting for need over quality is a recipe for disaster. The higher up in the draft the easier it is to do both obviously. The bears should get a really good player at 9.

I bet he can. It's rare you see a CB impact an overall defense the way he did at IL this past year. Sauce-esque

He only played 5 games as a Freshman in 2020 and was slotted in at guard back then. I doubt Fields knows much more than the scouts at this point but they may have some kind of relationship.

This isn't a great draft. He is one of two (and maybe the only) sure fire elite talent on draft day. Others may prove themselves but today he is the elite player and I am happy to have him...and then complain about his underperformance.
